He’s much more mobile than Monroe and he has some range. Not to shabby of a shot blocker either. I don’t know where the Monroe comps came from.

I see Carter as really good a poor mans Duncan. Skilled, big, strong, and sneaky athletic.

Are you serious? lol. I don't think one person here was upset that we may not get Bamba last night. I mean, c'mon.

Doncic is really the only player I am upset about NOT getting.

Doncic, Ayton, Bagley, JJ, Bamba, Young or MPjr.

Give me one of those 7 and I’m somewhere between intrigued and thrilled.

Just say no to Bridges and Carter!

I'm in the minority, I don't want Young or MPJ.

Sounds good to me!

Yeah really. We could only be so lucky. Not happening.

JJJ will be in the top 4. I think we'll pick either Bamba or Carter whoever Dallas doesn't want. I hope we get Carter.

Exactly. If he busts he's still a spark plug off the bench like Nate Robinson. And we get a high draft pick again next year. Kind of a win-win.

**** it. Just put him on the court and figure it out. I’m usually against that but we literally have nothing else to lose.

I’m also curious about what Philly would want for #10. If it’s even remotely possible I hope Weham goes for it. Young at 6 and Bridges at 10? It’s probably going to be an uneventful draft so not likely.

Actually The worst that can happen is much worse. Young could be a average high usage player that is just good enough to help the team win 30-35 games, while never becoming good enough to a top three player on a championship team. Mediocrity treadmill.

I said in last draft that one of the best players would Michell and people told me I am crazy.

Doncic is the best prospect since Lebron and he would be the best player in this draft.

Having said this, if we dont select Trae Young I will quit this forum and I wont ever support Magic again. We MUST select Trae Young at 6. He has as offensive upside as anyone in this draft.

We’re already on a mediocrity treadmill and the same could be said about anyone going 6. I like carter, young, MPJ, or anyone who unexpectedly falls out of the top 4. I really like us taking Grayson Allen in the 2nd round, that could be a sneaky good pick.

Right, we have, worst case is we stay on that treadmill for the next 5 or 6 years. That is my fear with young, that he is ultimately an above average high usage player.

Will Trae Young be better than this FREE agent? Free as in we can still use pick on another player. Look at these playoff highlights, he looks really good.

I will not be upset with Young at #6, but I still prefer the lineups below built around JJJ and Bridges, primarily because there are a few solid get PGs on the free agent market, and we can still can use pick to fill out roster. Also, with so many draft picks with one way questions, I still like the two way players that can almost certainly be contributors on a championship team.

Rose / Fournier / AG / Isaac / JJJ

Rose / Bridges / AG / Isaac / Birch

Rose / Fournier / MPJ / AG / Isaac

The tidbit from Lowe makes it sound like the Magic were close but in reality there are 14 numbered ping pong balls in the machine and the Magic needed number 5 to come out last for it to be them - that’s a 1 in 14 chance so really it wasn’t that close at all.

And surely the values not equal to 1 or 5 would have given the pick to other teams meaning just about every team was just one ball away (if not one the last one then one of them).

Whoever suggested SGA at #6 may be on to something here. That is a sneaky play indeed.

Any chance Doncic falls?

1) PHX - Ayton
2) SAC - JJJ/MPj
3) ATL - Bagley
4) Griz - JJJ/MPj
5) Mav - Bamba
6) ORL - Doncic

Hey I can dream right? Talk about a Pat Williams Miracle.
