Kemba only has one year left on his deal so it seems a lot to give up if he's just going to bolt after the season. I like his fit with the team but don't think our management would accelerate our timeline for him.

If they're willing to take Biyombo off of our hands I would do him + #6 for Kemba (plus necessary salary filler). Would give us a lot more financial flexibility, but I doubt the Hornets would want to add to their current portfolio of albatross contracts just to get the sixth pick.

this trade would be debatable if Walker would be secured to a 3-5 year reasonable contract but he isnt ...
he is a rental
nobody sane would trade a lottery pick for a rental

nope. #6 should be a building block for the future, cost controlled for 4 years and then we get him for another 3 hopefully.

Kemba will be asking/etting huge money after next season.

I still wouldn't do it if they took back Biz. We don't really need the cap space until Biz expires anyway.

Kemba's value will be pretty low compared to his ability since he is on a really good deal that unfortunately expires in a year.

I'd do it for Vuc plus our OKC pick.

No...Kemba is short, not a defender, and unathletic. His college career was amazing....he'll never produce in the NBA.

There's another Kemba with higher upside at #6 with cost certainty and control. I'd talk about Kemba, but not with #6 on table. I don't think Charlotte trades him without attaching some bad money too. Not the right move for us.

Now isn't the time for your team to trade for someone like Kemba.

That said I do think the Hornets will be motivated and interested in trading up to 6. And it makes sense from your perspective if Hammond sticks to form and targets Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Start with Dwight and 11 for Biyombo and 6, what else would need to be added? A lightly protected 2019 1st?

Gross no way. Kemba's contract is about to expire and we'd have little chance in retaining him. He also does not meet the timeline for Isaac and Gordon. Terrible idea for us.

We need to move our vets for more assets not trade the ones we have.
