Anybody else watch football/soccer? Who are you guys going for in the World Cup?

Italy's out, so I don't really have a team to cheer for. Iceland would be a great underdog story, Nigeria and Japan have awesome looking kits IMO, so I'm partial to them. France also has a number of players that I like, but I can't cheer for them in good conscience.

I'm rooting for Australia to score at least 1 goal before getting knocked out.

Dude, I forgot you were from Iceland. Almost made a trip there but plans fall through. Hopefully it'll happen this coming Feb.

i was going to say luckies Euro winners ever than i had 2004 flashback when freaking Greece won by beating them on opening and ending of tournament

Portugal had like what? 5 draws in 5 first games ( of regular time ? ) Beat my Croatia with first kick on target in 118. min

I’ll support England all the way until the inevitable group stage / second round exit (probably on penalties).

I picked Germany to win the World Cup last time, which wasn't much of a reach considering they were ranked #2 in the World. This year I'm rolling with a dark horse. I'm picking Belgium. Betting odds are pretty good for them as a bonus! :D

My wife's family is Colombian so I'll be rooting for them with U.S. not making it.

I used to love the World Cup, but my hype for soccer is gone. From 2006 to 2014 I always took vacation from work to watch all the games. This time I think I'll only watch Brazil's + saturday and sunday games since all others will happen while I'm at work.
Studying English, please correct my mistakes if possible :)
