Ok now with the draft complete what are your goals going into next season? Trades? Free agency? Summer league? Etc.

I would love to see us resign Gordon to a fair deal. I would be very happy if we could some how bring back Mario. I’d try and trade for a starting point guard. Open up playing time for Bamba by getting rid of vooch or biz. I want to see Isaac, Gordon and Bamba on the court as much as possible because they are the future. Let’s just hope for some more exciting moves the rest of the summer.

I wouldn't expect much. Of course we see something but beyond the mid-level we don't have any cap space to go after much in free agency as Gordon's hold and our draft pick put us over the cap. The mid-level is a decent contract but with us not being a great destination for free agents we are going to have to give it all for a moare average FA. I do think we will be active on the trade front but as we saw this past trade deadline we probably be underwhelmed by a trade if we even make one. We don't have much in the way of great trade assets when you also factor in their contracts. Vuc is expiring so I think he could have decent value but if you combine him with a guy like Evan that is a lot of money for any team to take and I think that hurts what we could get in return. Especially with Vuc not fitting the modern NBA center mold so is more of backup big. Evan is a good role player but has a somewhat hefty deal for the next couple of years that hurts his value some. Biyombo to me is a negative value so I think we are stuck with him. We would have to include too much to get a whole lot in trade.

What are we going to give up what it would take Charlotte to deal him here. Answer too much. No way am I giving them one of our future firsts. No way am I giving up Isaac for him. We can't trade Gordon there and less he wanted to go there but we wouldn't be getting Kemba in return for him as sign and trades don't work out that way. You don't see one good player delt for another good player. Instead think more of what we gave (what was then the Seattle Supersonics), which was some second round picks. Evan and Vuc aren't getting it done. The OKC pick doesn't move the needle that much. So no I don't think Charlotte would deal for what we could offer and I am not going to give up what they would want.

1) Aaron Gordon will be re-signed. The question is for how much?

2) Nikola Vucevic is going to be traded. With Mo Bamba's addition, the frontcourt is just too clogged for him to stick around. He likely moves for a point guard or a swingman.

3) A point guard is going to be brought in to help via trade or free agency. No long-term deals should be given. Two years tops.

4) See if you can re-sign Mario Hezonja but only for the right price.

Other than that, it's likely to be smaller moves to fill out the roster mostly in the backcourt.

dont understand the fascination people have with him. Looks like an NBA backup, who will probably garner a bigger contract than he deserves this off season. i would not want to be the team that overpays him

Ride out 20 wins seasons until 2030, when the team relocates.

Time to trade of Bizmark for Parsons. Maybe, we can also get some future 2nds out of it.

Magic get rid of a Big and get shooting out of it.

Then, sign IT.

IT/DJ
Evan/Ross
Simmons/Parsons
AG/Isaac
Vooch/Bamba

That could be a very good team then in 2 years, Parsons comes off the books and lookout!

Don't get stupid and act like this team is on the verge of something special. They're not. Protect the young assets, stop wasting cap space, see if you can accumulate some more assets.

Which one we can get per trades?

I may be wrong, but in terms of bringing back Mario - because we hold his rights, he cant be paid more than what he would have got if we'd have picked up his option. (even by us). So for Mario, he wont be better financially and wont be able to seek a better deal persay, just a better situation. So if we were to bring him back it would either be fore less than what his option was if he has no other takers, or for the same.

We have a 7'10 wingspan C, probably going to be all NBA defender very quickly and I wouldn't be surprised if he's the #1 shotblocker even as a rookie.

Then you have Isaac, who at PF would add even more defense.

So really, we just need to get very good offense from 1-3 and we are set. We have some people to trade. We have probably next years draft. But yea, our focus should be offense on the wings, and we are golden. It may start with getting Mario back.

For the salaries to match and Memphis to get cap relief, Mack is part of this trade. But Orlando needs to get something out of this as well. Perhaps the rights to swap the 2nd-rounder for two straight years.

1: Resign Aaron Gordon
2: Resign Mario Hezonja
3: Trade Vucevic + Ross for Walker + MKG (MKG has a year longer and more money on his deal)

Walker/Augustine/Mack
Fournier/Iwundu/Frazer
Hezonja/Simmons/Jackson
Gordon/Isaac/Birch
Bamba/Biyombo

Outside of signing AG back and moving Vuc. I would like to see the Magic get a hold of Spencer Dinwiddie. He could be a good starting PG.
