Any Nick Calathes sightings?

There has to be something in the works -- and I'll bet it has a Greek heritage with Lake Howell roots.

Not drafting a PG; releasing Shelvin Mack.....

Maybe they're going to ship Vuc for one; possibly one of the early 2nd round picks, but that's too iffy. I suspect management has Nick Calathes homecoming brewing.

Somebody keep a lookout at the practice facility.

Nick was great at UF for his short career there. Really heady player and would be a nice backup. Not a starter in the NBA imo.

I used to go to Lake Howell high school but he didn't start his freshman year here until after I graduated.

I've seen Nick Calathes and Austin Rivers before when I used to go to the Winter Park Ymca and I seen Chandler Parsons at La fitness couple times.

You don't see Travis Diener without his permission

Calathes is a really nice playmaker, but I just don't know if his lack of shooting is tenable given the current roster construction.

I'd still take him over several others with his passing skills.

It's not about winning, it's about developing. Magic should want a playmaker to get good shots for the young guys.

I completely agree on the playmaking element, but with an entire front court of questionable/non-proven shooters, it seems like it would be a real slog offensively to stick another bad shooter in the backcourt.

Ugh...was hoping we could get him to come off the bench. If we got Kemba (assuming DJ thrown in the trade) and Calathes that would be a good offseason.

No idea to be honest - says he's still with the team so I'd assume so. He's also gained Italian citizenship/played for their national team in '13
