Jimmy B + Kyrie to Orlando?

Post#1 » by MagicFan101 » Tue Jul 3, 2018 5:28 pm

These two are friends and want to find a spot to play together.

With a very movable AG contract and multiple draft picks at our disposal, we could sit tight on trades to preserve our 2019 cap space and offer max deals to both of them...

AG can be used in a S&T for one while the other opts out and joins the party.

... gotta stay hopeful.

Kyrie
Fournier
Butler
Isaac
Bamba

Where do I sign? That's like... perfect fit for our frontcourt.

This is my perfect scenario which i was writing about for some time. Walker instead of Irving could be as good. It is very likely Butler has enough of Tom, Andrew and Karl.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Damn that would be a thing of beauty.

Good enough to compete for the east for sure.

Not sure about that, but it would be fun to watch again.

Pretty sure Kyrie and Butler form a big 3 in NY with Porzingis first.

Would be amazing. If Isaac and Bamba reach 70% of their potential, that's a championship team in 2-3 years. As long as LeBron and Giannis, and Embiid, and every all star doesn't go to GSW.

You really don't think Orlando with Kyrie and Butler can compete with what, 3 other teams? Boston would have Hayward and Tatum, Philly would have Simmons and Embiid and Toronto would have Lowry and Derozan. It's arguable that we'd have the best duo in the east.

Trade Gordon+Fournier+OKC 1st 2020 for Butler+Wiggins.
Let Vuc, T-Ross expire. Send Jimmy B to recruit Kyrie in the summer.

PG Kyrie Irving / DJ Augustin
SG Jimmy Butler / Jonathon Simmons
SF Andrew Wiggins / Wes Iwundu / Melvin Frazier
PF Jonathan Isaac / Justin Jackson
C Mo Bamba / Bismack Biyombo

Butler doesn't like Wiggins though.

This is a fun thought though.

Pretty sure we don’t have the cap space for 2 max free agents next year. Not even sure if we have it for 1, even with Vooch and Ross coming off the books. We still got Aaron at $21M, Fournier at $17M, and Biz at $17M. Between that and our terrible team, we’re not gonna be free agent players for a couple of years.

AG is traded in that scenario.

why would they choose to come here? we'd need an established player first otherwise somewhere like new york in a bigger market makes more sense

Are we even sure Porzingis returns next season and if so, returned to his former self and remain healthy? Without him, is there anything NY really offers Butler and Kyrie that Orlando couldn’t compensate for in its own way?

Bigger market, more recognized city and a better-regarded coach. I don't even need to mention Porzingis.
