My guess is it will be a two year with a team/player option on the second year. Were stuck with Biz contract until 2020 anyways so were not signing any big name FA until then. Prob just pick up IT to not have the worse starting PG spot in the NBA for the next two years.

I'm no doctor so my feelings are based off him being healthy. I love this move.

Can someone on here explain why the numbered links don’t work on iPhone. I can never read the links you good people post. On a side note I like this move for the Magic if it happens.

Was about to say the same thing. If there is so much negotiations.... seems like it has to be more complicated than a 1 year deal. That would be great!

He’s confident and can score points.

We need everyone at training camp this year. So if he’s healthy I’m good with bringing him onboard.

Just looking at this video and seeing the amount of gravity he produces.... this can really help the team and the development of our young guys. The guy just literally made everyone look bad at some point. lol

I do like this signing if it happens. This guy has heart, something Elfrid and a lot of our younger players do not have. He will be a good culture fit guy and he knows what it takes to win. Give him the reins of the team and see where he can take us. Im not too fussed about IT on D as i know how Clifford coaches defense and he will just get IT to funnel the ball handler into parts of the court by loading up on a particular side and them swamp the player with out big men. Thats what we did with Jameer when we had Dwight (Clifford was part of that coaching staff), and we had one of the best defenses in the league.

It makes too much sense not to happen. Hopefully a 1+1.

IT = Jameer
Bamba = Dwight
Isaac = Rashard
AG = Hedo
Ross = JJ
Evan = Courtney Lee

Haha. But seriously, the old Magic team isnt a bad model to try and replicate. I think it would still hold up in todays league, with a few modern tweaks. Bamba being about to shoot 3's is a nice modern touch so we can now play 5 out on offense, something we could never do in 2009. We need guys like AG to take on more of a passing role, and everyone needs to shoot better. The Bamba IT combo is actually exciting to me.

Supposedly the timing of it is due to $$ per year, it would appear they were shooting below the full 8.6 million, which I don’t really see the point in. Two year 17.2 million player option on the second year. It almost makes too much sense.

If we use the MLE do we still have the biannual available?

I would suggest just using RealGM on safari. On iPhone you can make it to where you can add the website/bookmark to your homepage and it will show and work like an app. Everything will show and work the same as it does on desktop that way.

I support the signing if it happens. He’s the best available. However, the last year + for him hasn’t been good at all.

He was also a major defensive liability for a Cleveland team that already struggled to corral ball-handlers at the point of attack. After his return, the Cavs allowed 106.4 points per 100 possessions with Thomas off the floor, and a staggering 118.6 points-per-100 with him on it, turning the average Cavalier opponent into essentially the most stacked All-Star team in history during his time on the court.

Really fair article on his journey from potential mvp to MLE https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.yahoo.com/amphtml/sports/isaiah-thomas-will-finally-hip-surgery-likely-putting-end-lost-year-190042583.html

If Isaac and AG can have similar impact like Lewis and Hedo we will go to the final this year. We dont even need a “howard” to win this pathetic east

Yup. Cavs players didn’t like him according the articles I’ve read. When trade to the lakers he didn’t exactly welcome coming off the bench either. He’s also dealt with family issues.

Get Thomas then next step trade Vuc for a back up PG like Jordan Clarkson.

Return to Orlando Magic
