Would look better if his guards ever pass
Jokes aside, there were 5000 plays where ,because nobody can shoot from outside, you see guy dribbling to paint on set defense and instad of throwing lob to Bamba they just brick some sort of floater.

What's even worst is that nobody can't handle ball. Literally guys dribble ball like they are bunch of 5 years olds.

Iwundu's drives look like this

Maybe he wasn't getting charged with turnovers and instead they just awarded someone on the Suns with a rebound, but 2 or 3 times he had a board in 2 hands and someone on Phoenix would strip him with ease.

This happens with all rookie bigs, Ayton got stripped pretty easily when get a board and came down with it as well.

Bamba already has better defensive tools and instincts than Ayton (5 block for Bamba vs 0 for Ayton). Now it's just a matter of adding muscle so he can be Rudy Gobert with more endless possibilities offensively.

IMO, Ayton's movement defensively was waaaaaay better. Defense is more than getting weakside blocks. Ayton scored, repeatedly and with ease vs Bamba, while Bamba couldn't even gain position to receive a pass.

Granted, I agree that the Magic's guards sucks, but the Suns summer league guards are also inept.

Defense is also about defending the pick and roll and switching onto perimeter players, and weakside blocks/rim protection. All of which Bamba is much better at.

Ayton was getting stripped a lot too.

Ayton is definitely a bulldozer but he didn't do much damage 1-on-1, sorry to say. His points were mostly lobs and putback dunks. He made one jumper with Bamba in his grill, then bricked a couple others. Didn't look much like Embiid on 1-on-1 offense at all.

Oh so you think that our PG issues are going to dissapear simply by drafting a PG in the second round. Hmmm... :banghead:

I want them to actually try diversification in their draft strategy instead of taking the same long armed SFs guys every single time. They are not even trying at all.

Complete bull. You have ZERO information to suggest they arent trying, thats just rubbish. Stop posting emotional uneducated crap.

They keep drafting the same type player. Long SF/PF types with limited skill. Its been so obvious its become a running joke in NBA circles. Not only do our fans joke about it, but casual observers mention the same thing.

Thats weird because i watched a lot of summer league and all teams were constantly lauded for adding length to their roster. Not just orlando.

Because long athletic wings who can defend multiple positions are at a premium right now.

Ayton’s effort itself defensively is pretty discouraging.
