We keep making moves I like for the franchise if they are getting paid.

I really like this move. Young big who adds depth to our PF spot. He had some really nice moments last season for the Grizz.

He can hit the 3 too

So essentially we sent Purvis non-guaranteed contract for Martin (which solves our backup PF problem) and cash from both OKC/Memphis. Not bad not bad at all.

perfect move. We needed a backup PF and got one for a player we were waiving. And we get more cash to make it rain.

On Memphis team 17-18 season

2nd most blocks (49) -> would've been 3rd on Magic behind Biz/Vuc
2nd most offensive rebounds (97) -> would've been 3rd on Magic behind Biz/Vuc
3rd on team total rebounds (318) -> would've been 4th on Magic behind Biz/Vuc/AG

Super Solid add and will definitely be backup 4 this year.

Plus he's only on contract for one year so if he sucks for us it's okay.

do we know how much cash we got from OKC and Memphis?? Martin salary is 2.4M wonder if the $$ from Dakari/OKC and this trade basically pays his year?

Wow - great pick up (considering I thought we were going to waive Dakari). Purvis was putrid, Darkari was unnecessary, but Martin will be solid off the bench. Very happy with this.

Competant management making good small trades is such a weird feeling when I think of the magic.

Nice trade, we needed a back up PF. All we did is give up Purvis and got cash twice.

Literally just an hour ago I was thinking of how quiet we’ve been and then realized the last time we were really active yielded Ibaka and Biyombo, to which I cringed.

Now we’ve got a little activity and it’s a well balanced, sensical move. Very odd feeling indeed.

If The Magic keep Jarell Martin and it appears they will, they need to make a move with one of their centers as The Magic could use another veteran swingman or a better point guard for the 15th roster spot.

Martin is a nice pickup.

Tyler Harvey was never going to make the roster so no loss there.
