Wow, end of an era. There will be largely mixed feelings about him. While I disagreed with his business practices and political views, having an NBA team in Orlando has been one of the most enjoyable and privileged experiences that we often take for granted. Blame the family for players leaving or the Magic not reaching their full potential, but cities like Orlando don't even have professional teams like this. And players and coaches alike have always had nothing but nice things to say about him and his family when they're here and when they leave.

Condolences to the DeVos family and farewell to Rich.

Yes, too soon. We all know how you feel today though. As messed up as it is.

Thank you Devos! Thanks for everything you've done for the city and the organization and for keeping the team where it belongs! In Orlando!

Prayers go out to the Devos' family.

It sucks we couldn't win at least one championship in his lifetime.

Sad day.

I spent every afternoon of middle and high school as well as my summers training at the RDV Sports Plex. I have many fond memories of those times including meeting Mr. Devos quite a few times.

RIP

Making a prayer for him tonight. Thank you Mr. DeVos for everything you have done for us fans here in Orlando, and for the many good and charitable things you did as a person. Rest in peace and love.

In my heartfelt opinion, this organization could not have had better ownership. This city could not have been blessed with ownership more committed to putting out an incredible product, more committed to philanthropic outreach, and to bettering the lives of Central Florida youth.

Never shying away from spending to win, having the highest of standards for their employees top to bottom, fighting and succeeding to keep this team in Orlando in a facility that is the crown jewel of entertainment for the entire region, the legacy of Rich DeVos is above reproach and the profound, positive impact he has had on this city is eternal.

We were blessed to have him.

Eh. Messed up and disrespectful. Here's hoping we can get a ring on his name sooner or later, and also hoping Martins can stick to marketing with WeHam on the reigns.

Agreed. He spent and spent, he wanted that ring bad and he knew his time was limited.

Very sad day. The people he put around himself failed him, he did everything in his power to see us win one.

What does this mean though in regards to replacement and overall team goals/philosophy moving forward?

Please take that break you kept saying you would until you can stop with this and understand how uncalled for it is.

RIP Rich Devos. He did so much for the Magic and the players loved him.

RIP Rich DeVos.

While I might not have always agreed with him especially politically, Rich DeVos did a lot for this Franchise and spent money in most cases when necessary. Not a lot of owners were doing that at the time.

Devos also was committed to keeping this team in Orlando and gave a lot of money back to this community and we will always remember his great words. "Why not us?" "Why Not Now? Thank you Mr. Devos.
