The Magic need an upgrade over Martin.

I do agree the Magic can and should get a better player than Martin to provide depth, but they can just use the MLE to sign someone to do that.

They certainly don't need to burn their first round pick to get a depth piece.

As much as I like Culver, I may prefer Keldon Johnson... It's close

If the Magic make the playoffs and we end up with the 20th or later pick, I would look to possibly trade the pick. Like maybe see if we could package up the pick with Fournier and trade him to the Bulls for Zach LaVine. He is better than anyone we most likely get at 20.

Then we can focus on signing back Ross and maybe a new back up big. Let Vuc walk.

Fultz/DJ/LaVine/Brisco
LaVine/Ross/ Iwundu/Fraizer
Issac/Iwundu/Gordon/Ross
Gordon/Issac/2nd round pick/Martin
Bamba/Birch/FA/Mozgov

You don't have to worry about this.

If the Magic make the playoffs, they'll be picking 15th almost certainly.

If they miss the playoffs, they'll probably be picking 9th or 10th.

Still would consider the trade. LaVine is still better then what we most likely will get in the 15 to 20 range.

Zion with his 3rd 30 pt game, as he scores 32 and Barrett records the 4th triple double in Duke history, in a win vs NC State.

Markus Howard from Marquette, use a 2nd round pick to get him. undersized, but could be a stud, even if just off the bench as a scorer. 8 30 pt games, 2 40+ games, 1 50+ game. had 5 30 pt and another 50+ game as a sophomore.

Given the Magic's emerging need for bench depth on the wing, either of the mid-range combo-forwards could get a look: DeAndre Hunter and Sekou Doumbouya. It seems probable that one of those two is available at 15/16, Orlando's probable draft slot.

Another thought is Wisconsin's Ethan Happ. He is the type of senior that can bring in immediate deep-bench depth. Not sure why the media has him out of the draft, as he should be worth a look in the 40-45 range.

Doumbouya's had a pretty bad season to the point where I'm not convinced he should even be a lotto pick.

That said... he's the kind of guy that if you really believe in your developmental staff and have the luxury of being able to wait, could really be good in 2021.

He's just nowhere close to ready right now. You pick a guy like that hoping to get a return on your investment in year 3.

Personally, I would stay away.

As far as Hunter goes, I think he's a plug and play from day 1. The kind of kid everyone wants on their team. I don't see a crazy high ceiling, but you can tell he's been coached really well at Virginia and should be a high end role player at worst with the possibility for more as other parts of his game expand.

I think Frazier is absolutely going to be given every opportunity next year to do what Iwundu has done this year.

It will only benefit the Magic if Melvin can force Clifford to give him a rotation spot with his hard work.

Taco Fall leads the NCAA with a 76% shooting range !

More seriously, Virginia Tech's Ty Outlaw is having another outstanding shooting year. One would think he will get an undrafted Summer invite. Total team player; excellent rebounder; and laser-guided 3-ball.

If Orlando ends up drafting 13-17 this poll is no longer relevant considering we will be out of range for most of these prospects. Too bad.

Depending on which mock you believe to be the best fortune teller, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that Orlando makes the playoffs and selects either Langford or Garland with the #15 pick.

If we miss the playoffs and land in the #8-10 range we should have our choice of either of these two + a number of other very interesting names.

I like the WeHam made their move for Fultz while seeing the opportunity to eat our cake and have to with the playoff push vs. draft debate.

But playoffs and 1st round sweeps are so much better.

If the Magic take a wing with their first pick, and look for a PG later. What do y'all think of Cassius Winston at Michigan State?

Let me ask you guys this...

If Reddish had been considered a late first rounder and not a top 3 pick in the preseason, would anyone be considering him a sure fire lottery pick right now?

Because that guy's stats are really lacking for a guy who people are still penciling in as a top 5 pick.

Shooting 35.6% from the floor with more assists than turnovers? I'm not seeing it.
