Low risk/high reward. I don’t care if this blows up in the Magic’s face. Didn’t even give up that much for a promising young player.

Yeah probably. Reminds me of RHJ or Mikal Bridges.

Bamba underwent surgery on his stress fracture? I didn't know people had surgery on those. Also, I didn't realise it was in his tibia...

Docs on board, care to weigh in?

it's fine to ride exitment for few days but i don't think he will play this season. And we have game comming up in a hour.

Entering next year with (hopefully) healthy Fultz and Bamba will be fun.

Also Bamba had surgery? Bad sign? I thought they will just let it heal ? Does that mean injury is more serious ?

I'm not a doc but have been reading a lot about it. It isn't normal at all to have surgery on it, but Jrue Holiday did on Feb 24th, 2014. He started the first game of the following season.

The reasons for surgery, according to what I saw, were individuals with high risk. Could be a variety of reasons on the individual or the sport, as well as the type of fracture it was.

He should be ready for opening day 2019, but will not play again this season. Welham should get an injury exception and sign a vet off the waiver wire with his money. Kanter perhaps?

I've heard they almost always require surgery. The longest part of his recovery will be correcting what caused the stress fracture and that could be adding more muscle.

Shh, it's not surgery if you refer to it as a "procedure"

That is not a bad idea, but I'd feel bad for Birch.

The link cites John Denton, but if Denton Tweeted it at some point today, he has since deleted it. Robbins has nothing on it, none of our major blog sites have anything on it. I'm not in denial or anything, if he had surgery he had surgery. But I'm just saying, I can't find any information on it.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I just looked we have to file a disabled player exemption request by January 15th.

Was surprised to see this earlier today. Didn't know what to make of it since the initial plan was for him to just rehab it. I wish I knew more info on where exactly this stress fracture is and how severe it is and what kind of procedure he had. Regardless, he's probably done for the season. Wouldn't scare me for him coming back next season though.

And a Google search just brings back that link (plus Rotoworld, which is the same report) citing a nonexistent Denton Tweet.

Low-key excited, Fultz clearly needed a fresh start and we needed some talent at point guard. This is definitely a gamble but considering what we gave up it may be worth it. So glad simms is gone, and I think others feel the same i have yet to see an appreciation thread for him.
