Fact is, the Magic Players do not intend to tank this year, so the Pro-Tank people are just wasting their breath. We should just enjoy the ride for what it is instead of complaining about tanking.

I can feel it. This is the year!

Vučević going for 20/10 and making the ASW is the curse-breaker.

Ah, great thread idea my friend. What a great feeling it is to be in meaningful basketball games at this point in the season. This is where ALL of our young guys will find growth in their games; physically and mentally. Steve Clifford has been a blessing. And maybe the new GM regime is slowly teaching Martins to stay in his lane and let the adults handle the roster.

Not to get too far off subject either, but i forgot to note that even our Lakeland G League affiliate is looking pretty solid. It's like or new staff across the board is actually helping in player development across the board, which is pretty exciting.

I'm honestly excited. We have some high ceiling young talent in AG, JI, Bamba and Fultz. We have some vets coming in their prime in Vuc, DJ and Ross. We have 3 decent finds off the bench in Iwundu, Birch and Briscoe. And we have Fournier... well not everything can be positive.

In regards to remaining schedule strength Orlando out of all teams competing for the 6th- 8th seed have the easiest schedule.

This looks at a team's remaining games and calculates the combined winning percentage for all those opponents.

We have 25 games left and the average winning percentage is below .500 at .461 (2nd easiest schedule in the league behind Toronto that has the second best record in the east and just acquired Marc Gasol LOL)

Teams SOS that are competing for the 6th - 8th seed

Brooklyn thats currently #6 in standings with 25 games left has the 5th hardest schedule in the league at a SOS percentage of .536

Charlotte thats currently #7 in standings with 27 games left has the 3rd hardest schedule in the league at a SOS percentage of .541

Detroit thats currently #8 in standings with 28 games left has the 21st hardest schedule (out of 30 teams so fairly easy) in the league at a SOS percentage of .484

Miami thats currently #9 in standings with 28 games left has the 8th hardest schedule in the league at a SOS percentage of .526

Washington thats currently #11 in standings with 26 games left has the 19th hardest schedule in the league at a SOS percentage of .487

We aren’t catching Indiana. Need a Washington win tonight. It’s the lesser of 2 evils.

Don't sleep on Washington... they got Jabari and Portis at the deadline.

I know. I’m just saying it’s the lesser of two evils because if they win, we have the same record. If Detroit wins, they extend their lead by half a game in the playoff race.

It's actually very possible for us to get 6th seed and 76ers to get 3rd seed. That would be quite the story if Fultz starts playing. He might have something to prove.

This.

I'm also watching BK. 5th hardest schedule to finish the year. They could fall but they just got Lavert back. Dinwoodie back in a couple weeks too.

Indiana took car of business, and Detroit beat Washington, which was a double edged sword for us regardless of the outcome. Brooklyn is down 5 with 5 minutes left in Toronto, and Denver is up on Miami at the end of the first.

This might be fun :)

I think Miami goes on a run when Dragic gets back.

Posted last night but this thread feels more appropriate. So after last night we have 25 games left. Here is the breakdown to me.

Just 6 of those I put in the absolute loss column now:
@Toronto X2
@Philly
Vs Philly
@Boston
Vs Golden State

There are 9 games we are favored and should win/giving us wins:
Vs Chicago
@NY
@Cleveland
@Memphis
Vs Cleveland
Vs Atlanta X2
Vs Memphis
Vs NY

Puts us at 9-6

The other 10 are 50/50 to me (@Pacers X2 I put here without Vic). If we go 5-5 on the 50/50 games we finish the last 25 at 14-11. That puts us at 39-43. I have to imagine would be right in there for 8th or close to it.

Win 2 more of those 50/50 games and we go 7-3 with those games. That's .500 and I think .500 would get the 7th seed. It's very doable to me.

We must win the next 3 though. @NO, Vs Charlotte, vs Chicago. Because we have GS and @ Toronto in 2 of the next 3. Yikes.

I would really just like to line up with Toronto if we got in. We have played them really tough. Should be 2-0 vs them. Bucks have wiped us clean with Giannis. Nobody in the East scares me except the Bucks. We just don't seem to match up with them well.

If we can somehow manage to finish 500 with the Nets recent struggles the 6th spot isn't crazy. Someone made a good point that the 6 "guaranteed" losses I counted maybe like Boston at the end will clinched a playoff spot might rest players.

Whatever the result Giannis sitting out may have very well got us into the playoffs no joke. The next 3 are super winnable and we need to take advantage. But the Charlotte game right before the break might be the biggest game of the year. Gain a game on them and snap that damn streak.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...
