Updated after the Valentine’s Day massacre of the hornets. Huge week next week. Some big games among the teams in contention for the last 3 spots. Gotta beat Chicago and New York. Expecting losses against Toronto and GS, but they play the games for a reason.
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

23 games left:

vsChicago W

vsGolden State L
@Indiana L
@Cleveland W
@Philadelphia L
vsDallas W
@Memphis W
@Washington W

vsAtlanta W
vsNew Orleans W
vsMemphis W
vsPhiladelphia L
@Miami W
@Detroit L
@Indiana W
@Toronto L
vsNew York W

@Charlotte L

Tried to go realistic, having us at 14-9, which gets us to 41-41. There is a long run against some bad teams in the middle, predicting 6 wins in a row was hard to do.

Steve Clifford does have a track record of his teams playing better later in the season.

In 13-14 the Bobcats finished the year on a 24-12 run.
In 15-16 the Hornets finished the year on a 30-12 run.

Four of his five years in Charlotte they had a better winning percentage in the second half of the year than they did in the first half.

538 has our projected record at 38-44, which would place us in the 8th seed. 62% chance of making the playoffs now.

There’s a stretch there we could easily go on a 10 game winning streak

If we can somehow pull out a win up in Toronto, we should be 2-0 vs them, we should go into the GS game on a 8 game win streak. If we beat them it's championship or bust this year lol
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

Agree, but look at it this way, this is their chance to recover from nagging injuries (AG's back) and rest before the last stretch and push for the playoffs. They earned it, and they need it.

This winning streak and the 7 of 8 wins only got us back to where we should have been already. If we want to make the playoffs, this is only our new base, we have to get better from here. We had too many long losing streaks earlier in the year. Wipe the slate clean and start over from when the streak started. Hopefully we can play just above .500 ball to close out the season and we should be good. We've wrestled the control away from the other teams at least. We can control our own destiny now. We play good we get in.

I still remember when Barkley was the only guy who knew we'd beat Lebron and the Cavs in the 2009 ECF. He was spot on too!

There are only three BtBs in that run. But all three have at least one away game in them.

Huge breaking room to stay focused.

It is starting to stabilise that 39 wins is the ticket-number for the playoffs.

At 30-29, this means the Nets must go 9-14
At 27-30, this means the Hornets must go 12-13
At 26-30, this means the Pistons must go 13-13
At 26-30, this means the Heat must go 13-13
At 27-32, this means the Magic must go 12-11
At 24-34, this means the Wizards must go 15-9

Noting that the Magic need the second lowest win total to get to the playoffs, this looks great for Orlando.

I we don't lose this level of "Ultra Instinct" (Dragonball reference lol).... we should definitely surpass all expectations Actually.... to be honest with you.... the combination of the success that we rode into the all star break and the length of time that we have off will test our metal and see how we come out swinging for the last 23 games. Hoping to be impressed by these young guys.

A one-game playoff, so to say!

Somehow ending in 6th place will be absolute best case scenario in regards to playoff matchup (Boston or Philly).

2nd best option will be playing Milwaukee
