Love how the Magic has more wins than the Heat bet sit behind in the standings!

A win against Hornets and the Magic will be at their best record at game-59 since post Dwightmare.

We're playing really well of late, but the Hornets have had our number for like 5 years it feels like.

Should be a tough, hard fought game. Looking forward to it. Would be great to head into ASW on the brink of the 8th seed with a 5 game streak.

Also Brooklyn has Cleveland tonight, but Detroit has Boston, Washington has Toronto and Miami has Dallas (all four are on the road). Brooklyn will beat Cleveland, but realistically DET, WAS and MIA could all lose and we'll be tied with Miami a game back from 8th.

Was listening to a podcast with Bobby Marks/Billy King. And he mentioned we'd need to pull of a nice run in order to make it. He mentioned one example, I forgot one year, when they were 3 games behind the 8th seed, and had to go on a 21-7 run to finish the year.

Hopefully we can.

edit had the maths wrong:

The Magic probably needs to go 13-11 to make the playoffs. Given that the Magic is now 6w in last 7, this means the season was closed out on a 19-12 run.

Wow, Orlando moved up to 9th in team defense.

I think I heard before that it's a very high percentage of top 10 defensive teams make the playoffs.

With this little winning streak, our overall Pt Differential is down to a negative 1.7!
On Dec. 26 we hit our worst of -4.6
On Jan. 9th we were at -4.3!
Before xmas, we averaged over 15 pts difference in our losses
In 2019 we're down to just over 8 in our losses.

Five Thirty Eight has us up to 51% chances to make the playoffs. The problem is that Detroit has jumped too, up to 68% and Charlotte is at 58%. Wizards to Nets, all predicted to get between 35-39 wins. Going to be tight.

If we beat Charlotte on Thursday I might have to pinch myself to see if I’m dreaming or not because everything that has happened since we traded for Fultz has seemed to good to be true. This team has a legitimate shot to make the playoffs, the vets are all playing at a very high level, and Simmons is gone and grant is out of the rotation while Isaac, Briscoe, and Khem are playing huge roles for this team and are flourishing in them.

My head still tells me not to buy all the way in, but with how hard and well our guys are playing it’s impossible for me not to.

Last 4 games are away and against the heat and hornets. That's gonna be insane

Close but wrong. Charolotte game just may be for that 8th playoff spot, ironically. The Philly, Indy, Raptors and Boston games are against top 4 teams . . .

Could be an epic end of season run.

Just eye-balling Detroit's remaining schedule, it's pretty favorable. They end the season facing Memphis and New York back to back. They get Oladipo-less Pacers 3 times, the Hawks 2 times, the Cavs 2 times, the Bulls 2 times, and the Suns 1 time. We really have a slim margin for error.

Thursday night is going to be where we find out if there's something to this or not. When I watch now they're playing just good team ball and much more focused they're not getting rattled by runs and the "here we go again" attitude.

We have a very good defensive team. It’s hard to maintain that if you aren’t getting offense from your second unit or from some of our developmental guys still learning but that’s changing. We’ll go as far as their growth can get to over the remaining games.

I’m having a lot of fun watching this team grow from places I didn’t expect.
