JI's ball-handling coming around?

I don't know about you all, but that was my biggest critique of him up until earlier this season, was his handles. He was doing a lot of 'jab step, jab step; crossover, immediately pick up dribble', and really just not getting a lot done when he had the ball in his hands.

But ever since he came back from injury he's been a lot more aggressive and I really appreciate and commend him for that. He's making strides and nobody can say otherwise.

The move in this video vs ATL is one of the most impressive takes i've seen from him.

Long story short - his handles seem to be coming around. He's gaining confidence. And I like that alot.

I don't think he'll ever be a good ball handler... He'll most likely mirror AG in terms of ball-handling as he really can't get past defenders though he has an explosive 1st step and is pretty quick.

For me I am happy to see that Isaac's catch and shoot is improving. But he is also improving on the fake catch and shoot, which leads to a drive to the rim. Good ball handling on that move.

My man just isn't fluid with the ball in his hands for whatever reason. KD is the perfect comp here. KD just looks so fluid with the ball in his hands. JI just looks awkward at times driving. Dribbles way too high.

I think he can definitely improve and once he becomes a knock down shooter that will help his drives. I just don't think he will ever be graceful enough with the ball to be a Durant type star, hope I'm wrong.

I think someone JI should shoot for is Rashard Lewis. Lewis was never much of a driver and when he did he would look for a jumper. Knew his strengths. He becomes a deadly shooter like Lewis we going be really good. Because he is already all world defensively.

Not really.

He's just awkward and loose with the dribble.

But if he can get to a point where he can successfully attack a hard closeout with 1-2 dribbles, that will be all he'll really need.

He's already a strong cutter and offensive rebounder. His FT stroke suggests he'll be a good catch and shoot player with more experience.

If he can just learn to really attack closeouts, he'll be golden.
