As an individual, I feel Ross was worse than Briscoe and wins the Cap, but I think we were bad as a team in a lot of ways.

The bench as a whole failed again.

There's no bench, it's T Ross and bunch of fringe nba players, Birch being least terrible.

Ross by a country mile, not only he couldn't make a shot on offense but still never passed the ball, but he was also terrible on D, he gave up so many up so many wide open shots to the Cavs by poor effort or mistakes in rotations.

Ross was horrid. He never saw a shot he didn't like while most of his shots were off balance with hands in his face. He should have passed the ball more to guys who were open instead of forcing terribly bad shots.

If Ross went 6-12 instead of 1-12, the Magic still lose this game.
Augustin held Knight to 2 points. Briscoe allowed Clarkson to score 18.
Briscoe played pool on both ends of the court. Given his 4 points, that is a 14 point deficiency. That was the difference in the game's score line.
..

I know that. Just pointing out a fact that he has a very poor shot selection. When he is the human torch, he is usually not taking such bad shots.

Obviously Ross, but I chose Briscoe, he just played flat out dumb tonight. And I don't know if I'm the only one who notices, but Briscoe always has this goofy look on his face.

This is too simplistic.
Yes, the Magic lost by 14, but that also includes fouling Cleveland intentionally three times in the final minute to gift them another 5 points. If Ross hits more shots during the game, it probably never even gets to that position in the first place.
This also ignores the fact that every other part of Ross' game, specifically his focus level defensively and his decision making, both dramatically suffer when he's not making shots.
He was the worst player on the court last night all-around. Briscoe played a slightly less awful game offensively and they were both equally horrific defensively.

That makes no sense.

This is what you get with Ross. Some nights he looks like Dale Ellis, then others he's a tragic excuse for a basketball player.
You pay for the in-between; the meaty part of the curve. And he's not going to be worth what he asks.

Ross for sure. Has been cooling off just a little bit lately. Clearly tired during last nights game though. But the Magic HAVE to start beating these bad teams right now. We can't count on just beating the good teams cause they're aware of us now and aren't going to keep coasting against us.

Typo. I meant to say defensively at the end.

I think this dunce cap and everyone until this garbage is cleaned up, should go to management. This team is going to miss the playoffs, pick at the back of the lottery or just outside of it, miss out on all the best talent for the 5th year in a row, and sign Vucevic and Ross to extensions.
Rinse repeat. This season is no different from the previous 8, half ass win for playoffs, half ass tank. Stay in mediocrity.

Something scares me about paying Ross big money this summer..I know this team pretty much sinks or swims with his play, but there have been too many games this year where he looks like he genuinely doesn’t want to be out there and completely lacks effort on both ends.
Give him that big contract and I fear those nights might become more frequent.

I'm still 100% team tank. It's easy to get swept away by this recent "success" we've had, but I'm more interested in long-term competitiveness and viability than a 3-n-out at the hands of the Greek Freak and keeping this franchise treading water.

Gotta go with Ross. On the second of a B2B our bench is more important than ever. We just don’t have a smooth super star to get us easy buckets on tired legs in the starting 5.
Ross is supposed to be that guy for us off the bench. His inability to do it night in and night out is why he will NOT get the $20M per deal some here are assuming.
But ... Ross does bring it for us enough to earn something closer to a 4 year $45-50M deal.

We are arguing, "what smells worse vomit or poo?" Clearly all bench players were awful. My new point is that the starters were actually all ok. I would not have been a Fournier vote.
