A little off topic, change of pace post amid the playoff race but I recently got a new male pocket bully puppy and I want his name to be Orlando Magic affiliated..was thinking about vooch or mugsy (I know mugsy didn’t play for us but he’s small my dog is small, you get it). Any suggestions much appreciated!

Used to work at a doggie daycare years ago and one of our clients was this very attractive woman who had a long haired black lab named Magic. He and I became good pals and he helped hook me up a coffee date with her - she turned out to be a Magic dancer. Alas, it went no further, but thus concludes my story about good dog names related to the team.

It has to be Shaq because of his BIG personality. It would be kinda funny.

Steeley, after David Steel. Sounds kinda tough for a little guy, but kinda cute too.

Or, Nelson. Lol. That’s the Magic equivalent of a Mugsy name, but I think dogs with people names are hilarious, so you get the bonus comedy factor too.

I always thought BBD would be a cool name for a dog.

Regardless, once your dog is ready to go visit the 23 acre dog park in Winter Park called Lake Baldwin Dog park, lemme know. It is on the Lake and has nature trails. It is massive. I am a member of Friends of Lake Baldwin Park and been a fixture there for 19 years now while I live walking distance away. I am there every day. Will give you a tour. That place is like heaven for dogs who like to play and socialize.

FYI. For anyone living in Winter Park, a huge election coming up for Mayor next week. The challenger, Weaver, looking to take away the park. Probably sell to developers and get a kick back. Mayors only make $4k a year so people running for Mayor or City Council positions are usually doing it for alterior motives. Thus, make sure you vote for Pete Weldon on March 12th next Tuesday.
