OT:

Evan Fournier makes two point shot (Nikola Vucevic assists)
Evan Fournier makes free throw 1 of 1
Evan Fournier makes 16-foot step back jumpshot
Evan Fournier makes free throw 1 of 2
Evan Fournier makes free throw 2 of 2

Guy scored 7 of Magic 13 points in OT and game tying layup for 110-110 before OT.

Ross just keeps doing his Ross stuff. Taking rushed shots. Once in a while he'll look like this, when he is human torch, but he'll shoot you out of game lot of times as well.
Prior this 4 games winning streak, in 4 games before, he shot 17-54/ 31% FG overall.

It's just speeks volumens that Evan has zero fan votest vets on forum where they litearlly everybody hates him, while he is averaging 15 -4-3 despite having 15 games where he scored at least 20 points.
People use vague data like "team is 5-10 when he scores 20 it means he should not shoot" as gospel, yet if you go to see what happends when other Magic players shoot more you get things like:
6-14 when Gordon takes more than 15 shots
9-14 when DJ takes more than 10 shots
7-7 when Isaac misses 60% of his FGA

it's just cherry picking to make argument for or against xy player.

Guy has bad year, we all get it, but amount of heat he gets for being solid despite shooting struggle and ZERO vests for a year just paints picture of fans on forum who hate him for no reason.

Ross was our offense during regulation when we couldn't score. David Steele said numerous times "thank god for Terrance Ross tonight". I'm glad Evan did well in overtime but we wouldn't come close to overtime without our rally which was due to Ross.

The fact that you can't give Ross any credit maybe you hate him? Maybe you have some personal bias? It just speaks volumes...

So who producted more points:
31 points 0 assist guy
or 27 points 6 assist = 14 additional points ) 41 points total produced guy ?

NBA math at its finest. When do we subtract all of the points Evan gave up on the other end too? Guy's defensive IQ has to be the lowest among rotation players.

Ross and high bbiq don't go well in same sentence tho.
Guy's trademark shot is contested 3 pointer with 15 sec on a clock.

I don't think Ross is bad player btw. There is good reason why Ross didn't start anywhere and Evan is career starter.

Talking about overall production by net rating, only time Ross had better rating than Evan was in 2016-17 after mid season trade ( 24 games, and that was year when Evan missed lot of time due injury ). By just taking look at career averages it's not hard to figure who is better player by wide margin.

Just like it's case with Vuc it's valid to ask yourself is Ross just playing like mainac because he never got payed.
I'm looking at his salaries through career:
2,5
2,5
2,7
3,5
10
10,5

By nba standards that's low income , it's this year of bust for his piggybank.

I was very close to picking Fournier, but Cliff said it best, Ross kept us in it singlehandedly for some stretches of the game. And with even more efficiency than usual.

It was awesome to get a dose of playoff-level atmosphere in our arena too, really great win!

Guy was best Magic player on the floor.
Ross literally does nothing but shoots, one night he will look like tonight, other night he'll shoot you out of game, that's why his +/- swing in Ws and Ls is almost 35 points.
He played 35 min and had 0 assists. Evan had 6.

I can only assume that you didn't get to watch this one? Ross was easily the best player for us on the night.

Pepe doesn’t watch basketball. He watches boxscores. I’m fairly certain he couldn’t pick an actual basketball out of a lineup of a football, tennis ball, baseball or hockey puck.

Tough one. We don’t get to OT without Ross and don’t win without Evan

Fournier will win a vest when he earns one.

He came close tonight but Ross literally saved us. We would have been blown out without him.

I thought Ross deserved this one because of how hot he was from deep. Those 8 threes (9 if you count being fouled on one) kept us from being blown out... he was +25 in a game where we never led until OT. But you're right about bias... there's a group of fans who would find any reason not to vote fournier even if he deserved to win a vest - some have even admitted this.

To add: Ross' defensive rebounding in the 4th was outstanding.

Ladies and gents, it's been something like 7 years.. and playoffs or not, we are now 1 win away from reaching new territory in the post-Dwight era.

We all know this isn't a team to lock down and add nothing else to be elite contenders, but it feels awfully good to see some wins.. to see a Magic team acting like they can win more than 50% of their games))

The next nine games will be crucial. Five games will be against playoff teams. Two being Charlotte and Miami are fighting for a playoff spot just like the Magic. Two will be against non-playoff teams.

This team is looking at a gauntlet. These wins will be crucial and be tough. This team has to believe they can fight their way through this. If this team can win 6 or 7 games in this stretch, I believe they will have a shot at the post-season for the first time in six seasons and post-Dwight Howard era.
