He'll be used to make a trade work just like the previous teams he was with did.

I'm looking this Hornets salary, they just have to go through next season and they will have much better salary situation in a year (especially in two years).
Biyombo, Williams and MKG clear up $45M of cap space after next year.

It really sounds like Vučević could get a max offer. Bamba or bust, I guess.
..

why? what has changed.
Look at how much cap space is required for two max players...let alone 2 + a 3d big contract. For example, if LAC renounce all their FA's and stretch all their 1 year players (including key guy Gallinari), the most they can get to is $70m in cap space. That's with 4 guys on the roster.
• Eligible max $ for player with < 6 yrs experience:
$27.3 (D Russell, K Porzingis, J Randle etc.)
• Eligible max $ for player with 7-9 yrs exp:
$32.7m (J Butler, K Irving, K Thompson, K Walker, K Leonard, K Middelton, N Vucevic, T Harris, etc)
• Eligible max $ for player with +10 yrs exp:
$38.2m (K Durant etc)
Two max salary combinations:
27.3 + 27.3 =
$54.6m27.3 + 32.7 =
$60.0m27.3 + 38.2 =
$65.5m32.7 + 32.7 =
$65.4m32.7 + 38.2 =
$70.0m38.2 + 38.2 =
$76.4m

Would anyone like for us to get in on a 3 team trade with the pelicans and lakers or knicks?
If so what young players would you like?
I’d see if we could try and trade DJ and our first this year plus maybe a 2nd for Ball. Dj could be a solid Pg to pair with Lebron and Davis. Then the first and 2nd could help the pelicans rebuild.
Thoughts? Any other trade ideas?

AG and 16 pick to Lakers for the 4th pick and Soloman Hill.
Next season if Fournier opts out we have like 80m in cap room.

Definitely should see if we can get in on an AD trade and snag some assets for helping make it work.

Why on earth would we want Ball ?? I like injured Fultz more than healthy Ball. Such a bad fit with our young core.

I'd rather keep Gordon and target Porter in the draft.

Would anyone sign Durant knowing he would be out all of next year at least?

I don't think it'd deter anyone that was already planning on trying.

Yes, he is one of the top 3 players in the league. Durant has two options in my eyes, Opt back in with the Warriors and come back healthy for the playoffs or sign a long term max with another team.
It's worth noting that at the start of the 2020-2021 season Durant will be 32 coming fresh of off an Achilles tear. He might be looking to cash in with a team this summer and you can bet that suitors will be lining up to sign him regardless of the injury.

Not sure if I would, imagine if we sign a long-term deal and he doesn't come back 100%. Do you want another Grant Hill?
