This board before deadline

"we gotta make moves man. Now,what are they waiting for?"

This board after deadline passes without us making moves.

"It was in our best interest not to make any moves.Gotta be patient best time is to deal in the summer"

Then in the summer we do only cosmetic changes and hope youngs break out.

rinse repeat

OMG Im always so wrong
main philosophy is to make cosmectic changes and be 7-11th seed

Imo Hennigan got cought up into "what's popular now" thing.
During his time it was drafting athletes and overhype of rim protection.

Drafting athletes for years has been hit or miss strategy and as far as rim protection goes, lot of people claimed blocking shots is extreamly overrated contcept of "good defense" , as most block shots end up in another shot attemp for attacking team.

He also was foolish enough to belive that shooting will be replaced with replacment level talents ( and Hezonja i guess) so he drafted PG, SG and PF who couldn't shoot well. But were really good athletes.
Payton busted out, Oladipo's growth was stunt by non shooting PG, Gordon couldn't take full adventage of athletics on team that had no floor spacing and Hezonja, like Payton, busted out.

Left with Oladipo and Harris as only tradable chip, he doubled it down on rim protection with Biyombo and Ibaka.
Also stuck to Payton way to long, it was clear after 2 years that Payton won't be starting PG on good team.
