He's giving an interview at his camp.

He loves to form young players and give them advices , he's more into teaching young players and their formation than investing money in clubs like other players ( batum / tony parker )

(I'll skip the NBA FASHIOn part)

He says that last season was a succes, a huge stepforward to go from 25 wins to 42.
He loved the way how the group finished the season,it took time for them to find the right cohesion, they made private team meetings to talk about the way they need to play and adjustements to the roster.
The team is full of hope and confidence, they know that post AS break they were the 4 th best team in NBA and they want to play that way from day 1.

He then said that he hated not going postseason and having losing records previous years ( the other guy said that he talked to them out of cameras and told them that he felt Clifford was a great coach , he had systems well designed and it changed everything from the start of the season.)

Clifford revolutioned the franchise, not only in his systems , but in management / his relations with the players/they give him a lot of credit and respect for that
He's clear on what he wants from the players/ put a lot importance on defense

He knows that his scoring volume has drown but he felt that he was a better player overall in last season
A lot of minor fixes have helped the team : ross being 6 th man / isaac being healty and his progression/ all star vucevic/ gordon and his role

Markelle fultz : he's asked about his rehab
They are seeing him on practices, he's taking shots and having medical treatments but he has no clue if he's going to help them next season.
He still hasn't made collective trainings.
Fournier knows that he's actually training in Orlando but he's like us : no info.
( in my point of view , Evan looks hesitant and a bit lost, what worries me is that he adds that Orlando didn't took a big risk by trading for him, don't know why he said that at this moment of the interview)

Big disapointment to loose 4-1 against Toronto, with Toronto stepping up game by game and Orlando staying at the same level by the series.
He knows that they had experience and they finished NBA champs so ...

The offseason : players knew the plan, they know the spirit of John and Jeffso they were not surprised by the contract extensions.

Then he talks about the NBA crazy FA and the 2019 fiba world cup.

Bon resume :)

The fultz part cooled me down a bit, it s not the first time that he says that players have no clue how he is

Training facilities can't be that big. Players don't talk to each other much

Or they are being coy because they're told not to speak any detail in public?

Thanks, Frenchie. So he has no clue on how is Fultz doing but on the other hand he saw him taking shots?

Yes he seems a little bit in disconfort when coming to the Fultz topic ( in my opinion, might be wrong), I think he saw him hanging around in Orlando facilities taking few shots but not full drills IMO maybe that's why he has no clue.
But I also think it's just the fact that he's not close with him and it's summer so players are not spending that much time together, Bamba should know better.

But he adds that for Orlando its a low risk high reward as they gave nearly nothing for a guy that was a first pick ( he emphasizes this point by saying he's not a fluke) and is a big PG that can take this group to an other level.

I think Evan is aware that the Magic are making an effort to shield Fultz from the media, so he probably didn't want to comment much about him.

Or Fournier has no actual idea of Fultz' current health.

I find it interesting that you're more keen to assume that he doesn't know anything as opposed to explore the possibility that he is just keeping certain things in-house.

He may be outspoken but he's not an idiot.

Proof will be in the pudding ultimately.

Is it really an assumption if that’s what he said? Both Clifford and Fournier have said he’s not running group practices/5’s, I think occam’s razor here points toward no one really knows what to expect if he’s just been running drills by himself. Luckily there is still a lot of offseason left.

The Fultz bit was very short. Evan skirted around it pretty quickly. It's tempting to try to read a lot into it but in truth there's not a lot to analyse. The fact he didn't want to get much into the topic should surprise precisely nobody. His reluctance to do it shouldn't be taken as reluctance about Fultz either.

It's just following the pattern of minimum possible info coming out of the Orlando camp about the kid.
