This one looks to become a major storm.

Bad news for the coastal areas, and if the storm stays on track Orlando will see a lot of damage too.

Ugh!

Just looking at the record wind where I live in Seminole county is only 102 mph with Hurricane Charley. Dorian depending on the track could shatter that record.

Bad news is I have 5 oak trees in my yard and the neighbor has a couple that could fall this way.

Cancelling my wife and I's trip to New Orleans this weekend because of it (my wife has to work because of it, plus coming back Monday is looking more and more improbable). :(

Le sigh.

If anyone still needs a generator the Ace/Miller's Hardware in Winter Park is getting a shipment on Saturday, they're taking orders in advance. All sales final apparently and model selection sucks, lol. But it'll get the job done if you need one like me.

One of my close friends is now a Generator salesman. He must be swamped right now.

Hopefully, this thing turns but I am already pretty much prepared.

I hope everyone stays safe.

I have a feeling the fence on life support from Irma is finally going to bite the dust. Damn, not looking forward to replacing it.

Storm2k is always a good website to track hurricanes if anybody has never been there.

But yeah, stay safe ya'll. I'm in NY luckily but visiting back to Orlando next month and have a lot of family in Central Fla.

Hopefully by Saturday they'll know exactly where this hurricane will hit. As of right now the projected path looks like the worst hurricane to ever hit Florida.

This one could hit Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville all in one go.

Stay safe all. Hopefully this is another case of the wait being far worse than the event.

Maybe it will end up like Matthew: very worrisome here in east central Florida, then a last minute turn to save the day.

It's making that turn north earlier and earlier each projection...could be a Matthew repeat.

Great for us with each update. Hopefully it stays over the ocean the whole way north.

Dorian has been maddeningly frustrating with all the changes, especially for those of us in transportation trying to project when you can/can't have vehicles on the road

If Dorian does straight up along the east coast of Florida, We dodge a huge bullet as we only get the west side of the storm. The worst part of a hurricane is always EAST of the center of the eye. So that would be really good to not get the hurricane from EAST of the eye.
