Good schedule on first glance.
Only one road trip more than 4 games and it's 6 games in January, with only one back to back (both games in L.A.).
Only 11 back-to-backs on the season, which I think is pretty low if my recollection is correct.
A lot of home games starting out so good chance to get some early momentum and hopefully capitalize on other teams still figuring it out (this team being 90% the same should help). End of the season has more road games so could make (hopefully) fighting for playoff positioning difficult (though I don't see too many particularly tough opponents in the last 10-15).

yup last season we had 15 b2bs.
We need to take advantage of October, get into a good momentum early.

Another tidbit: Only 4 of the 11 b2b's are on the road, and all four are pretty minimal travel time between them (largest distance I think is Denver/Utah, the others are LA/LA, OKC/DAL, BOS/NYK).
edit: scratch that, there's also 2 where we play at home and then go on the road the next night. One is to Miami, so not bad. The other is to San Antonio, which is a tough break that day. That's a pretty long flight to take on game day the night after playing at home.
edit2: Dang. there's also one where we play @Washington and then come home to play Phoenix the next night. But worst one is playing at home one night and then flying all the way to Milwaukee to play the Bucks the next night. That's rough.
So not too many b2b's, but most of them involve traveling the next day (most are short trips, but a few are pretty long).

It looks like we have an easier late schedule. If I counted right, from February 1st, in last 34 games, we have only 2 back to backs.

I’ll be there opening night for sure. At least this year we get an actually home crowd for our home opener and not half Miami heat fans. Should be dope!!!

The last divisional game is #75. That is, Orlando closes out the season with 7 non-divisional Eastern foes. Strange.
Usually the gaol is to load up all teams in divisional games so that late-season match-ups have Divisional meaning. I guess the NBA is truly "killing" divisions in a run up to basically having two Divisions: The East and The West.

The schedule starts off real light. Have a chance to start really strong. Another tough season in terms of rest between games though for the Magic. Schedule makers have hated us for so long. Oh well, back to the playoffs against their wishes anyway.

We were never popular with ESPN and TNT and I'm cool with that. Just worried about the schedule in some areas.

The worst Western team with the hardest schedule and the best Eastern team with the easiest schedule is an expected result of how these stats are being applied.
1) Western teams have harder scheduled because Vegas has more of them with good odds to win a title.
2) Good teams by definition on-average play bad teams; and vice versa.

The Clippers and T-cubs are interesting in this by having best/worst in both categories.
