I cancelled cable years ago and have used various methods to watch the magic over the years. Last year I used YouTube TV and it worked out well but I really can’t justify the money for just a few games a week. Is there any service, IF YOU’RE IN ORLANDO, that allows you to watch magic games? Does the NBA still impose regional blackouts for league pass? What about a fox sports subscription plan? Anything other than paying for a ton of other content I don’t watch?

If you live locally, League Pass isn't an option because they blackout Orlando and the surrounding areas.

If you don't want to purchase cable, you could ask someone on the board who is local to Central Florida and has cable or dish to give you their TV provider logins.

You can then take those logins and go to https://www.foxsports.com/florida and watch there.

I'd look into Hulu if you want more than just sports, but just for Magic games I think Fox Sports might be best.

I have league pass, but it is just not cost-efficient anymore based on my usage of it. If only I didn't have the Heat regional broadcast, I could watch Orlando without the hassle. I live an hour and a half to 2 hours southeast of Orlando and I get the Heat but my buddy who lives a mile away south gets the Magic. It's so confusing. Could it depend on my service provider? I have ATT and my buddy has Comcast.

I cut cable too awhile back, but I no longer live in Florida. Do you know if any of the providers (cable, stream) provide an A LA CARTE service?

Sling TV is cheaper than YouTubeTV. It's $25/month for Sling Blue, which should includes Fox Sports. You could pay $10 extra and get the Sports package which includes NBA TV and NFL Redzone. All the ESPN channels are only on Sling Orange, but you could pay $5/mo for the ESPN Plus, which should cover that.

Or find someone with a cable provider log in.

reddit streams NBA is now blocked

I have Spectrum but am considering switching to Hulu or Youtube TV due to Spectrum's overpriced cost and the fact I only watch a few channels.

Some streaming services block VPN’s. Does the NBA do this with league pass?

Also, that’s a pain to set up and use conveniently if you want to watch on a tv.

I've had Playstation Vue for 2 years now and I very happy with it. Video quality is good and you get almost unlimited DVR, plus you can watch in your phone anywhere. Get to watch all Magic games and NBA TV, as well sports in general. But price wise is similar to Youtube TV, in some cases higher depending on the plan you pick. You do have to reside in the Central Florida area to get the Magic Fox Sports broadcast though FYI.

if you absolutely have to see it, Youtube TV does not require contracts.

I have actually used YoutubeTV since we dumped cable (after trying SlingTV and PSVue tv). not happy that they jumped up in price a few months ago when they brought on the Food network and HGTV, but i needed the other TV options for the kids. still cheaper and easier to manage with roku boxes.

Sorry I should have clarified that was a question for you. I use League Pass and I'm fine with that.

I love up on Destin, FL and thank God my cable provider has Fox Florida

Also, Youtube TV has Fox Florida where ALL games including playoff games are broadcast on

I would assume this has to do with GDPR. Much easier to block access than to be compliant.

There are always ways to watch games for free. Just have to do some research. But, the quality of the steams are not always the best. Best to just pony up the $50 a month for utube TV unless you are hard up for cash.
