that thought crossed my mind when they went up 3-1. I will say it seems like maybe he's finally grown up a tad, I guess someone got his head far enough out of his ass to get some fresh air and clear things up a little.

I'm cheering like hell that Dwight gets a ring.

The dude gave us arguably the best run in franchise history and now he has a chance to add a championship to his resume.

Him winning a ring takes nothing away from the Magic or us fans.

The irony is not lost on me that he's on the verge of winning a 'chip in Orlando — essentially at the Magic Kingdom — with the Lakers of all teams. But I feel it's fitting and the best way for it to happen.

His career took such a nosedive after he left Orlando that it doesn’t upset me. It’s like if things ended badly with a girlfriend and she lost her legs.

The problem is that scoring wings are at a premium so it would be tough to get equal value for AG. Can you name a equal value scoring wing that we could target with AG?

Lavert or McCollum and we can include something to sweet the pot a little bit.

But where this "trash stuff" came from? Still waiting for the answer, I didn't see anyone saying that.

Yeah, completely agree with this post. Just don't see how GSW makes this trade without Orlando adding or taking a lot more.

AG is likely our highest valued asset outside of Isaac, regardless of what he provides us on the court. Trading him and #15 for the #2 in this draft, with no returning player of value, is a risk WeHam wouldn’t take.

I do not think GMs view Gordon as huge asset. He is role player attached with $18M price tag.

Very few players make that much money without being considered borderline allstars (Oladipo, Lavine, Bogdanovic, Sabonis...).

Also vast majority of nba teams do not have player that they can trade Gordon straight up, so it's always combination of lesser value ( by salary) , rookie scale contracts or some ever more payed ( probably grossly overpaid, projected to be a star, but didn't live up to money ) type player like Batum, Adams, Porter, Russell or Buddy Hield ... that require Magic adding even more salary to make trade possible and in almost all that scenarios Isaac, Bamba, 2020 pick or Okeke are gone.

Realistic trades are Nets get Gordon, Magic get Prince and Tample.
Hornets get Gordon, Magic get Zeller and Washington.
Bulls get Gordon, Magic get Thad Young and Arcidiacono ( and signed second round pick player )
Suns Get Gordon, Magic get Oubre and Jerome

Or some oddball trades like Magic get Warriors pick and Draymoond Green and send Gordon and Birch

With Vuc declining salary, as he is projected to be on bottom of top 50 highest payed players, he is probably better asset than Gordon.
Evan, as somebody who can shoot, on 1 year contract, is also better value than Gordon, especially in this day and age where it's almost impossible to play serious basketball without lot of shooters around.

Not upset, at least not anymore i've let that go years ago after looking how his career turned out is karma enough for me....No issue with him picking up a ring as a journeyman at this point....Gave us literally his best years and it ended extremely poorly mostly because of him.....we're so far removed from those years it would be weird for me to still be mad especially considering he hasn't really won anything up until this point

I could have coached the Lakers to a ring. Hell, I might have got it done in 5.

Lakers winning it does nothing for me, thought I would be upset but I'm sitting here not caring at all. I'm more excited for free agency/trades coming up soon more than anything else. Other than a few other players in the league it's magic or nothing

Few thoughts:
1) coaching in general is overrated, almost always, teams with more talent wins
2) regular season is complete waste of time for vast majority of it's lenght
3) nba in general isn't as popular nor interesting as it was few years or decade before
4) there are 30 teams, but always same teams tend to dominate, if league loses 10 teams, nothing would happen

People should also come to terms with the likelihood that if AG improves he will be sought after and want to leave in unrestricted free agency anyway... should be obvious by now dude would not turn down an opportunity to live and play in California. The clock on his trade value is ticking fast... get the most for him while we can.

I would trade him for that reason only (realistically). I do think the clock is ticking and that he can't wait to play elsewhere.

Yeah, I am more angry about the poor middle management that lost both HOF centers still being in place, namely Martins. Its either on him or Ownership, because he was always the conduit to them this whole time iirc. I am probably more miffed at Dwight directly than Shaq at this point, but that is just because I hold grudges longer than most. I'm just in the last few years of his retirement over Shaq, and that is with knowing that he was in the right to bolt when they wouldn't give him the max. Dwight was in general a total a-hole, and even with all the humbling it still just feels ick, him teaming up with Lebron to win in LA... Like a vomit burp...

It always made sense for Jameer Nelson to be part of the Sixers organisation. Now he is:
On Tuesday night, NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark reported the Sixers planned to hire Nelson for the 2020-2021 season as a scout. Nelson will also have the title of Assistant General Manager for the Sixers' G League affiliates, the Delaware Blue Coats.

That Nelson's long term ambition is to be an NBA GM, this looks to be a nice first step.

WIth Jonathan Clay essentially a player-coach this year, I do think that Redick is being groomed to be Mr. Van Gundy's assistant next year or so.

I would guess that they are banking on herd immunity by that point, which seems increasingly likely given our current situation.

Herd immunity is already proven to be myth
