I'm really enjoying this about it - I started following the NBA after Jordan's decline (he was on the Wizards, we had T-Mac) so I never got to experience how good he was first hand. I appreciate that a lot of what you see on the documentary is highlights but he could make basketball beautiful to watch.

I also think Scottie Pippen could have been an MVP in today's league. AG should aspire to play the game the way he did.

Am I the only one who would have loved to party with a young Phil Jackson! ... just once, can’t try acid too many times!!! j/k that stuff is scary af

I'm down for 48 hours in Vegas with Rodman...

Lot's of high-volume but accurate three-ball conversations made me look something up.

What players in the NBA this season went for Fournier's 40.6% three ball on 6.7 three-ball attempts per game?

Including Fournier, it was 8 NBA players: Karl-Anthony Towns, Bojan Bogdanović, Danilo Gallinari, Evan Fournier, Terry Rozier, Tim Hardaway, Dāvis Bertāns, Duncan Robinson.

NBA.com: 40.6% three ball on 6.7 three-ball attempts per game

p.s. looking at Bertāns' stat-line, offensively I would be happy if Orlando traded Aaron Gordon for him in a straight-up SnT deal. Is there a single NBA forward more complimentary to Isaac today ??? How is Bertāns' defense?

Question:

If you had to pick Trae Young or Ja Morant to be your PGotF to the start of franchise who would it be?

Memphis has a bit more going for them roster wise but they have a tougher conference so perhaps that evens out?

Trae gets far more headlines but Ja gets far more wins so far in their careers.

Interesting choice I feel. I have a favorite of the two but clearly would love to have either one.

Both are not good defenders and neither has a physical skill set suggesting even average-capacity to play NBA defense. So: I go with scoring over assists: Young.

Young could easily be a regular 30 mpg guy. For Orlando, he would be surrounded with a huge amount of help defense.

For Orlando, I like Fultz over both Young or Morant.

Really? You are that high/confident on Markelle?

High-on: no.

But he is a better fit to Orlando, in that he actually plays defense. I cannot see a offense-only guard like Young or Morant on this roster with WeHamm in charge of the roster.

Markelle Fultz fits this Orlando Magic team better than Trae Young or Ja Morant.

I've read everything now.

Yeah. I’m thrilled to have have Fultz here given we gave up next to nothing to acquire him but we still have a lot of question marks. Ja and Trae are much farther along as this stage. That comment is ridiculous.

I mean a star prospect is really what we need more than anything. Ja fits that bill alone. Then thinking about our offensive concerns, to not want Trae because of his defense (when we have a roster put together of mostly young guys who play defense but don't create offense) is hilarious.

Obviously Fultz is nowhere near Young or Morant right now, but if we could build a theoretical player for our team, with Weltman philosophies in mind, he would be closer to healthy Fultz than the other 2 guys.

Morant and Young are generational talents. I like Markelle but come on man.

I would trade Fultz and AG for Morant or Young! Maybe even throw in Bamba to boot!

I *think* what drsd is suggesting is that the theoretical idea of a fully formed Fultz is a better fit for what Weltman and Hammond tend to skew towards in draft prospects and what Clifford prefers from a size and length standpoint defensively.

What makes it silly is that we can't really go off what Fultz COULD become in theory when Young and Morant are both already great in actuality.

Not to mention the fact that if Fultz was the best version of himself that the Magic would have never been in a position to acquire him in the first place.

This guy is the epitome of childish. Using this cause as a shield is unfathomable. This shows that talent is important but it’s damn near important to have maturity and character.

Morant is looking like a superstar and Trae looks to be the second coming of Curry. I would those 2 that over any "fit" because I would rather build around a superstar than have a player fit on a mediocre roster. A Morant/Isaac combo would make a perfect "FIT".

Well sure.

That's why the argument is silly. Those two guys are already star players and Fultz is decidedly not. The take is entirely hypothetical.

What he was saying though, was that if all three of Morant-Young-Fultz reached their maximum potential, that Fultz would be the guy the Magic's front office would prefer due to his wingspan and hypothetical defensive versatility.

Morant would've averaged 10-12 ppg last season for the Magic.

I still think management would trade Fultz and AG for Morantz. Maybe not Trae but possibly him as well. They would crap their pants if they were offered Morant for AG/Fultz. Hopefully, Fultz can prove me wrong!

I mean *of course* the Magic would make those trades right now, but that isn't what was being argued either.

If Fultz was the same 41% fearless three point shooter like he was in college, the case could easily be made that he'd be the best of the three players.
