I haven't been excited like this for a season in a long time.
Game on Saturday is getting broadcasted, right?

Probably means nothing, but looks like the teams scrimmaging are:

DJ/TRoss/Aminu/?/? vs JI/Bamba/Fultz/MCW/?

Interesting line-ups.

Probably be a Jumbotron feed. Checked NBA.com and don't see a TV broadcast I think when we played there for preaseason before it was a Jumbotron feed.

Three steps, but the first one came on the "gather" so it's all legal

Slow down champ.. you said he doubled in size and looked huge. He hasn’t doubled in size and isn’t huge. Furthermore I wasn’t the only one “**** on your post.”
I decided I was wrong when I said he looked the same in the media day thread when In actuality he looks bigger. You have absolutely no reason to thank me.

Just imagine T-Mac with that team :o He had the worst supporting cast of probably any top 5 player ever here. Now we have a fantastic supporting cast without a star.

Tracy McGrady was arguably the best player in the entire NBA in 2003. He was unquestionably the best offensive player that year.

1st in the league in PPG
1st in the league in PER
1st in the league in Offensive Win Shares
1st in the league in WS per 48
1st in the league in OBPM
1st in the league in BPM

That Magic team went 42-40.

Yea and that was the last year with handchecking allowed, if i remember right too. So i rate this season even higher than Kobe's a few years later

I see the "game available on league pass" on the nba.com site.
I was going to wait until the season opener to buy ILP, I guess I'm buying it early this year.

This is going to be something to watch in the early portions of the season. AG and Cliff have been talking all summer about him working on his post-up game. I'll be interested to see just how much he has improved in that area.

A big part of Vuc's season last year had to do with Cliff making his post-up game the focal part of Vuc's offensive game again. I don't want to see him revert back to more of a mid-range shooter. If AG is going to be working more out of the post this season, it's really going to test just how much guys like Isaac and Vuc have improved beyond the arc. We are also going to need Evan to return closer to his career shooting percentages.

I'm intrigued though. AG has shown the ability to expand his offensive game in the past. Him being able to take advantage of smaller defenders on switches in the post would be a huge addition to his game. His inability to do that was exposed in the Toronto series when guys like Lowry and Green would switch on to him.

More from McGrady...

Image

"You’ve got some athleticism around here, height and this is a big-ass team," McGrady said jokingly after addressing and working with the Magic squad on Thursday. "So, your frontline can be 6-10, 7-foot, 7-foot with athleticism all across the board. So, defensively I think they can be one of the better defensive teams in the league with what they have."

We might have a banner up in those rafters. lol

This supporting cast would be ideal for him. I'm sure he has though about it.

Shoot throw in any high level usage player... and i'm sure they would be happy.
