I see I'm needed once again for a game thread win. Okay, I'll bite. So, the Knicks are back in town. A miserable start once again for them, but they're fresh off of a win and want to build on it. I wanted to see Elfrid get a triple double in a loss, but he's out, so now I'll just take a win by any means necessary.

Will AG snap out of his funk?

Image

Will Ross flip heads?

Does Vuc regain his confidence and not turn into this mascot?

Image

SOUL'S PREDICTIONS

1. DJ struggles early against Ntilikina's length since he takes a while to get going anyway. The ball will either not be in his hands much or we'll go to Fultz because DJ commits some dumb turnovers.

2. Evan is going to get blocked by Mitch at least twice on really embarrassing drives.

3. AG is going to struggle inside yet again, but will hit a couple of threes and finish with 14-18 points.

4. Vuc plays okay, gets Mitch in foul trouble eventually, but still gets outmuscled a little too much and it will make us complain.

5. Ross flips heads.

6. Fultz will try to dunk on someone.

7. We win after a few close quarters, but pour it on late.

8. Someone like Ellington or Portis will catch fire and be the Scrub of the Night.

9. MCW plays disrupting defense yet again, possibly gets a tech with Portis.

No.2 i take the over

We have to take advantage of the Knicks bad BBIQ.
- Take advantage of there TO. They average 20 per game & we are top 6 in steals so far, but coudn't get much fast break points out
of it. (21st)
- The Knicks foul a lot. 10 more per game than we do so far. Wanna see 25+ FTA
- Vuc oldschooling Robinson in foul trouble

Wonder who gonna see PG minutes for them except Frank, who only played 25 min so far too?
If MCW gets playing time, i wanna see him on Barrett a lot.

hopefully AG gets back on track. I feel like Mitchell Robinson will either have like 11 blocks tonight or he’ll have 6 fouls in like 10 minutes of game play. Could be both who knows.

No such thing as a must-win game in October, but this is a game the Magic should win based on how both teams have looked so far this season.

I think everyone would like to see some shots finally start to drop.

Just don't sleep on their frontcourt and take them serious meaning that we are controlling the glass and the paint overall. As long as we do that and limit our turnovers, we should be good enough to get this win. Want to see Vuc back on the block and get his confidence back up on his post game. Definitely need to be disciplined when guarding Barrett and Marcus Morris. The guy I really want to see bring energy to the game is Aaron Gordon. I know he can play much better than he has.

All hell would break loose on this board maybe, but that's about it.

No one in the organization is losing their minds over a 1-3 October.

I’d be worried if we lose this game. I know it’s 4 games but still.

Excited to see RJ Barrett. Have not watched him play in the regular season yet, but his stat lines have been much better than I anticipated. He was always such an interesting prospect to me. He never looked great at Duke, but there was so much hype behind his potential coming out of Canada. Some guys just don't fit well in college and find a better adjustment to the NBA. I think he might be one of those guys.

Also, do not think this is going to be easy. We dropped a game to them late last season (March I think?) that was extremely frustrating. No Elfrid Payton, and potentially no Dennis Smith Jr. They might only have Frank Ntilikina as a lone true point guard tonight.

I've seen enough from Fultz already to start questioning how he isn't starting already and I'm the guy that normally defends the vets. But DJ needs to move to the bench and help Ross with the offense from there while we put the ball in Fultz hands from the beginning. He's too good for only 24 minutes a game already.

I was honestly expecting to see him play like this later, but the fact that this is how he looks with the rust is a good sign for mid-season, imo.

I also think we're really gonna need him tonight as DJ tends to really struggle against elite shot blocking bigs like Robinson.

Mitchell Robinson should be bbq chicken for someone like vuc in the post so I hope we take advantage. No elfrid and maybe no DSJ? Should be a nice little bounce back but with how we've been shooting? Who knows

If we have a slow start and shooting woes like the past two games, it’s going to be a long night and a hard two weeks.

So if we wake up Sunday morning 1-5, are we allowed to panic just a little?
