Isaac is the only pick I was ecstatic about on draft night and is coincidentally the only pick they have hit on so far.

I would have laughed in your face before last draft If you had told me they were going to take another forward at #15 last year. && yet, not only did they do just that, they took a forward who was projected as a second-rounder and who was fresh off of an ACL injury and redshirted him the entire year.

Weltman loves to get cute and act like he's smarter than he actually is so I'm fully expecting him to pass on Vassell or another non-offensivley challenged player and do the same thing again.

As much as I kill them for other things, I am guilty of liking the players they drafted. I may not like their failure to move up and be aggressive to get even better players (Bamba draft)... or their failure to trade down and get better value (Okeke draft)... or the way they think lightly of 2nd rounders... but as far as getting Okeke, Isaac and Bamba... I'm ok. I can at least see some kind of methodology and hopeful promise.

I am warming up for Mannion. If he falls (i have him 15 on my big board), he would be Ross best friend from the bench. He is not a totally bad defender, and he can also shoot on the move. It would be a move replacing Dj (or giving us some negotiations leverage), or possible insurance in case Fultz flames out.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

See for me, that's like somebody saying their car was worth 20k before they ran it into the side of a building. The before or "pre injury" is just kind of irrelevant to me. He suffered a major knee injury and was projected to fall for a reason. Yes, guys do come back from it and he may end up being a very good player but the red flags were there and there were better options on the board imo.

Yep, check the Carfax.

and he is 6'6 with a 6'10 winspan and not a liability on defense. If Herro was a lottery pick, why Nesmith is projected to go outside ? Becouse of Herro pull up shooting ? I dont quite get it, i have him in the lottery on my big board.

I'm sure he will start climbing up the draft board soon. He is too efficient right now not to be in the lottery already.

I really hope so!!! This would be my hope for the draft barring a trade. That efficiency would look great if it translates! And I would hope Fournier ops in for one more year. Team would be stacked with potential.

Killian Hayes is now 15 in the draftnet mock. He's a 6.5.5 PG.

Important notes for a draft:
- isn't center
- isn't PF
-can dribble basketball
- can shoot

Hayes is from Lakeland and last year he played on the same team in Germany as Isaiah Briscoe, so we shouldn't be lacking in insider detail when scouting this kid. He prob wont fall to our draft slot, but in the event they're considering going up for him, they should be a little ahead of the curve on him as a person and player.

Just read that Briscoe now moved to Poland from 1 Feb. Hmm.

Yeah, but he'll have spent a year training and playing the same position as Hayes. He'll know the kids game inside and out. I can't believe the Magic won't leverage that.

I likey! We could totally use a player with his skill and ball handling. Our bench would take huge boost with that kind of playmaking skills. He grabs attention and makes plays above and around the defense. Just imagine (assuming not much changes) ... him directing and getting players like Ross/Aminu/Okeke/Bamba open shots as a high usage player.

Gordon sounds exhausted in interviews.

He is averaging 40 mpg over the last five.
