This is going to be a very different looking Raptors team than the one the Magic faced early in the year.

You look at that first box score and see that...

Lowry played 38 minutes
Ibaka played 22 minutes
McCaw played 17 minutes

Lowry in particular was really good, scoring a game high 26 points.

Toronto is 5-0 at home, but all five games have been against teams currently under .500.

With Lowry and Ibaka out this is definitely a winnable game. It's still gonna be hard cause it's in toronto and they are still a really good team. Again it goes back to being able to hit wide open shoots and ball movement. If we play the d we have been playing along with that we can pull this one out but it wont be easy. Go magic

A lot depends on whether Gasol can limit Vuc like he has historically and whether Isaac/AG can keep a lid on Siakam, like they haven't historically.

If those elements go in our favour we win, IMO.

As an aside, glad Lowry is out. His flopping and whining makes watching games we play against him 100x more annoying.

Fultz and Fournier could combine for 40+. I really like Orlando here. Well rested and focussed.

You can't really stop Siakam, you can only slow him down. Which is what Isaac has been able to do effectively, but Pascal still gets his. It's still huge to have JI back.

This game comes down to Vuc. He has to be our best player like hes been these last 5 games if we want a chance to steal this game on the road. I don't know how you can expect anything other then a bad game from Vuc against Gasol until we see otherwise though so I'm not expecting a win.

Yea Isaac did a great job last game on him. Siakam scored 3 early baskets, where he came 2 times to late after rotating & Siakam hit on long jumpers. After the 1st quarter, Siakam only scored one basket on Isaac, when he slipped on a post up. The other baskets were all, when Isaac wasnt on the floor or after a switch.

That Lowry won't play is good, but Van Fleet is really good too, since Lowry is down. I have a hard time seeing us scoring on them. Even without Kawhi & Green, they still have the perfect matchups vs. us. OG plays maybe even better defense than Kawhi last year.
If Vuc is off again, i doubt we score over 90 pts.
But i'm still strangely optimistic this time. I have the feeling Vuc & Evan have a good game. Not sure why

Great game thread created as usual. Seems like I have not posted in a few of these in a while even though I have been able to watch and catch up on the games. Glad to hear that JI will be back tonight. Shout out to Aminu who gave us great minutes while Isaac was injured.

The Magic are playing with a lot more confidence out there on offense and it has been wonderful to see. Our offensive numbers should level off to last year's production soon with the hope that we can surpass that this season. Toronto is definitely no pushover despite Lowry and Ibaka being out with injury. We need to limit our turnovers and win the rebound battle. I really like where Vuc is at with his game and really hope he can get it going against Gasol who has been giving him fits. Markelle and Evan are going to be the keys to me on winning this game tonight. Need both of those guys to remain aggressive. Looking forward to this game tonight!

A win tonight would do a lot for this team's confidence with a lot of road games coming up.

Does Vuc score more than 10 points tonight? He scored 5 (1-13) against his nemesis the last time he played.

The rest of the team is going to have to step up if the $100m man shrinks against the Raptors per usual.

Win or lose, I don't care. The only thing I want to see is Vuc dominate.

We all know that Vuc is so much better than what he have shown against Gasol and I hate that Vuc is in his head so much when playing Gasol. It would be so refreshing to see that the Captain of the team can overcome that. I think that would set the tone for all of our players if Vuc can overcome this obstacle. We don't even need a win, just a dominate Vucevic.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.-John 3:16

Go Magic, Go Dwight, Go Vuc, Go Paolo, Go Keegan :)

Do we know for sure if Ibaka/Lowry is out or are they GTD?

Let's go Magic! With the injuries for the Raps, the return of JI and the recent form of Vuc, big opportunity to make a statement
I still believe in Magic! Welcome to the Franz & Paolo era
