What does this mean for future cap projections if Fournier and DJ aren't retained in the offseason? $10M under the cap or something?

An interesting development for the Magic if they are looking to add salary in a trade.

If my numbers are correct and Fournier opts out of his contract we could potentially have a little over 15m in cap this summer.

I believe it's more likely they'll go after an top FA this upcoming off-season. Fultz and Issac are due for extensions that season/off-season with Vucevic still being on the books. That's why I believe they'll like trade for DeRozan and let his contraxt expire if they can't get a star via trade.

2021 free agency could be historically stacked. We as a team only need to show continued growth and commitment to winning. Going into 2021 with two max slots would be huge.

Still too much money tied up into VUC,Fournier, Augustin and Ross. Aaron Gordon is fine cause he's done things like make Demar Derozan shoot an air ball.

This is awesome and makes giving up those 2 2nds in the deal for Timofey Mozgov and Jerian Grant feel a lot better.

It gives The Magic flexibility this year for late season transactions this year and helps cap wise in 2021.

When you think about it, it's like they got Bismack Biyombo's contract off the books one year early.

Sweet, this will make giving DJ 3/32 and Fournier 4/82 a lot easier
