I seriously doubt we ever make it back to .500 this season. Another year of accepting utter mediocrity.

If Gordon can't get it going against Carmelo freaking Anthony then I give up on his offense for the rest of this year. If he is still even here.

My favorite game of the year because it always my bday present from wife so I get to go to the game. I remember over 10 years running into Otis Smith and telling him to trade Stevie Francis. He smiled and winked, lol. I used to run into some of the players at Nike Employee store but this game is to close to Xmas and I'm not going to that madhouse.

Why da hell is nba pushing so hard for this mid season tournament that nobody wants to see?

I think they are genuinely concerned about ratings and are trying to give more incentive to do well in the regular season so that they can eliminate things like load management and gain more fan interest. I think you would have to cut the games down to 60-65 for this to have that effect tho. 78 is still too many.

I actually don't mind some of the other things they are proposing though. Regular season play-in tourneys for 7-8 playoff seeds and final 4 reseed in playoffs based on regular-season records isn't bad. I'd prefer 1-16 seeding.

Of course not. The league wouldn't either. I just think that's what it would take to get the effect they are looking for.

gambling revenue, that's future big source of $ ...so they are pushing that tournament as that's the type of event that increases gambling activity

...I do think people will want to see it if players buy into it
