Still remember watching the west coast late game against Sac when we broke the record. Much less depressing times.

If we ever have a championship level team in my life I promise not to take it for granted like I did before!

A few things triggered memory. At least two of those videos talk about the lack of touches for Dwight in crunch time and really magnified how Hedo and Shard bailed us out a lot. His inability to develop his game, especially at the FT line hurt Howard and the team. But yes the number of times we ignored him on offense In crunch time were brought on by his limitations.

Having those guys around him really made life easy for Dwight and vice versa. They worked really well together in the system Stan put in place.

I think i remember George Karl being mad that we poured it on.

Rashard made a few big shots that year too. One against Cleveland in the ECF and another one in the regular season against Philadelphia. I randomly bumped into him at a pet clinic right after that shot. No one else knew who he was and I was like hey Rashard how you doing and i congratulated him on the big shot against Philly.

Literally the only comparison name I kept bringing up months before he was ever even drafted. Ffs it makes so angry the Magic didn't step up. Good on Luka and DAL, lol

In appreciation of what's in hand, JI is rapidly becoming more and more untouchable tho, if that was even possible. For me, one of the biggest highlights of the season has been his offensive growth. I'm about ready to start predicting a 25 PPG version of JI.. you know, the guy who's already vying for All-Defense right now..

I needed this today, badly. Thank you. Going through a season such as this one (or the last 8 years for that matter) it's easy to forget why I will always love this organization. Hedo and those Dwight/Meer/Shard teams were a huge part of why I fell in love with this game growing up and I pray that this franchise can one day get to that level again.

That Hedo clutch 3 against Philly will forever give me goosebumps. Hedo is a class act and I'm grateful that we got him for the prime of his career.
