Going 500 on the road over the whole season would lead to a 3 or 4 seed in the playoffs.

It was a debacle. Vuc was pissed, rightly so, and people would bitch and moan about him being upset he was coming off the bench. Now Vuc has made an all-star team and Biz is routinely getting DNPs.

It's hard to put into perspective how bad Biyombo is. Everytime he is involved in offense it's a guaranteed run for the other team. Tonight when Charlotte was making their own run he stopped it dead by getting an offensive fouls, then fumbling the ball away the next possession.

How bad he was?

Well among 42 centers who played that year in NBA, by real plus minus, his value ranked him 3rd worst. 2 worst were: rookie ,out of shape Zubac and injuried Okafor. In other words he was the worst center who played that year.
In same time he was highest payed player on Orlando

By PER he was "just "5th worst. 4 worst were Diaw ( retired after) Bogut ( retired after ) Poelti (rookie) and Ed Davis .

He's the classic example of a player that plays over their head in the playoffs and some team throws a ton of money at them. Austin Croshere was another guy like that.

4 of the 6 teams on this trip were under .500 in the standings. We went 2-2 in those games. That's not great. We also went 1-1 in teams that are over .500 and beat the team in 1st in the West. That is great. Overall though -- I agree with Howard in that its an ok trip. Not great but not bad either. Inconsistent -- just like we still are. Hopefully we can get into a groove here as this next 5 game stretch (4 of which are at home) will be tough.

Jacque Vaughn was awful coach, but my most miserable memories are with Vogel. Guy came here publicly hyping us and then he had no idea what to do. Apex of his carrier was us hiring coaching consultant Randy Wittman.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Remember when most of the posters on this board were happy that we signed Biyombo for 72 mln.? ROFL.

Anyway, really good win, Evan was amazing, the defence was really clicking. Also, Rozier still sucks, so happy we never tried to sign that loser.

I am arguing this is not true. All road games are tough. And going 2-2 against "bad" teams and 1-1 in "great" teams is, for me, an outstanding outcome.

Anyone else noticed Aaron Gordon didnt shot any fadeaway for the first time since forever ? He missed easy layups all night and still.... i liked his game for the first time this season. Maybe its becouse Hornets were terrible defensively and he could go all the way to the rim even with his limited handle but man i hope he really takes a back seat offensively.

Not to me. I knew he wasn’t better than Vooch when we signed him. Garbage player.

I wish Vucevic would play over his head in the playoffs in any point in the last 8 years. But we all know the reality of that happening.

True but 3-3 on this trip hurts as it could have been better.

Specifically if the Magic had not blown the Golden St. 4th quarter lead, this team right now would have a 500 record at 22-22 !
