Maybe he wins and comes back with new found confidence!

Who knows if he'll be representing the Magic by then. He might have been traded by that time.

He ain't worried about the Magic he's worried about A-Aron, well hopefully he does good and reminds ppl there's a team in Orlando.

I’d rather he rest up but any attempt to bring ASW exposure to Orlando is okay in my book.

Did I also read that Dwight Howard committed to this contest?
Please don't tell me that was a recent Dwightmare I had...
If so, what a weird context for us Magic Fans.

I don't mind it as long as he's healthy. Last time, he had no business being in there.
I don't know what's left for AG to gain in the contest though. I can't imagine what other dunks he has that would top what he did in 2016.
But I think it has always been cool having one of the best dunkers in the league on our team.

We already do T Ross won the whole thing in 2013...

I will be there so i am excited
This ASG weekend is gonna be a memorable one for me. Between the Kobe tributes which will be so touching and Dwight and Gordon at the dunk contest, this will be an ASG weekend to remember

Has achillie issues whole season, commits to di*** measuring contest that fans don't care about.
No really , who won last year ? Year before?
Last dunk contest i remember was one with him and Lavine, before that Dwight, before that i only remember Vince Cater.
And somebody blowing cake that was hanging on the rim. Don't remember when and who.

I’m disappointed in our team this year and we really aren’t fun to watch.. also I don’t like the direction we’re heading..
That being said, if Aaron is healthy I like him representing the magic at the ASG. I also think Aaron is giving his all for our ball club and I’m thankful for that. I’ll be rooting for AG, I hope he wins what he deserved to win in 2016(?)

I hope AG wins it. He should have won the first 2 he was in. I hope Dwight botches all of his. One thing you can’t rip AG for is his effort. The guy always brings that. Just sometimes his talent stays home

Who cares.
Magic front office and Martins will use this as a reason to continue the course. No changes!

All this talk about injury slowing him down all year and now this sh*t. I guess its better to have excuse.

Pepe, it was Gerald Green with the cupcake.
Also—good for AG. we have a bad team in general and this will give us something to care about in the ASW.
I hope he wins it. He was robbed before. I guess it’s kind of cool for him personally to be in the same group with guys like Dr. J, MJ, etc. It would be for me.
Anyone else think it’s a little odd that we are squarely in the playoffs right now with no AS participants, but Trae Young is the leader of arguably the worst team in the league as a starter? Not trying to shade Trae but I thought that was kind of understood that you don’t get that nod unless your team is doing something.

I guess AG figured that was the only way Orlando gets some representation at Allstar weekend. Good on him for taking one for the team, since the league is wise to Vuc being a fake allstar and Evan just never had a shot to begin with.

I agree with Pepe here.
The guy missed games with a sprained ankle, which led to achilles and lower calf issues and more missed games... Some games he has looked hobbled and still not 100%.
Any chance of getting any slack on his regressive play is gone if he competes here, if he's healthy enough to do this, he should be performing a lot better in the games.

This is a pure business move and I'm for one, go chase the bag. Hope he's healthy to compete in this.

Blake Griffin dunked over a car once to win. I only remember that one because of the KIA commercials that came after.
For some reason, despite multiple NBA players plugging KIA, I have a hard time believing any of them are actually driving around in one.
