I heard Powell speaking about it on the Orlando Magic Radio Network... He didnt say the guy came in through the ceiling though, just said he hid it in the ceiling and then after everyone was searching for it for days he was like 'Hey guys maybe its in the ceiling, we should look there, oh wait, here it is I found it" lol

Back at the old arena if you went up to the skybox area, on a wall there was a framed photo of an in-game shot of Jordan in the #12 jersey.
I can't remember the exact layout up there, but I always remember it was one of the first things you saw upon entering the hallway (along with several other Orena event-related framed photos). Also, I remember one of the employees telling me that Jordan was wearing #12 because his jersey had been stolen. I was a kid back then; got to sit in a skybox suite a few times.
