Buckets are the oxygen of the NBA. You gotta have it to keep everything going. I'd do just about anything to get someone who can give me buckets nightly.

Lavine will bring an excitement similar to the T-Mac signing.

Probably, would be our most explosive scorer since T-Mac tbh.

Again, I’m not a big fan of Zach Lavine. But if and when Isaac is healthy and guys like Fultz, Bamba and Chuma develop then we might have the right roster for Lavine to do his thing in a winning environment.

Here's the truth about him: he's a rich man's JR Smith. That is scary but he gets buckets

Personally i dont get the Lavine over Fournier arguments.

Lavine (6'6, 181lb) Fournier (6'7, 205 lb)

Points per game----------- 25.5 ---- 18.8
Usage %--------------------- 31.7 ---- 24.2
Assists/ turnovers--------- 4.2/3.4 ---- 3.2/2.0
Passes made--------------- 39.4 ---- 25.3
Pick and roll ball handler: 0.89 ppp ---- 0.95 ppp
Transition------------------- 1.18 ppp ---- 1.20 ppp
Spot up---------------------- 0.95 ppp ---- 1.17 ppp
Off Screen------------------- 0.98 ppp ---- 1.10 ppp
Hand off--------------------- 0.96 ppp ---- 1.02 ppp
Drive fg%-------------------- 45.4 ---- 50.4
Pull up fg%------------------ 35.0 ---- 41.4
FTrate----------------------- 0.279 ---- 0.236

So basically case for Lavine is volume, ball moving and free throw rate. Case for Fournier is size, passing, decision making, ball handling, shooting, shot creation, finishing.

Unrelated, but where are you getting the ppp stats?

In LaVine's 6 year career, his teams have won 16, 29, 31, 27, 22 and 22 games.

He's a talented player, but man. The case could be made that he's never played a meaningful game of basketball in his professional career.

I'm always a little weary about guys who have done nothing but lose big their entire careers.

Why can't we have both and have Evan and Ross off the bench? Trade AG and fillers for him to make the roster more balanced?

Very true but he was an afterthought at the terribly run Wolves and is now on a terrible Bulls team. He's definitely not a 30ppg scorer on a winner but he's good enough to be a 22ppg guy.

That’s about it. I’d argue he has an even lower IQ than JR Smith. He does more to harm you than to help you. You can score 25 points per game and still suck. That’s Zach LaVine. His contract isn’t obscene, but I still wouldn’t want to pay it.

I would do it just to shake up this roster but wouldn't give up the farm for him. I can respect those that would be against it. I wouldn't guarantee that it would work.

I dont think it matches with Weltman team construction strategy. None of them can stop bigger players on switches under the rim. I would much rather give those minutes to Okeke who projects as a capable rim protector on the wing (much cheaper) and trade Gordon for someone else.

In my scenario, the starting lineup would be:

Fultz
LaVine
Chuma
JI
Vuc

with the bench being:

DJ
Ross
Evan
Ennis
Bamba

Obviously we would need a few upgrades here and there but at least that would change the dynamics of this team and move away from Hennigans team even further. I wouldn't be opposed to looking for another option. The only reason why we're discussing LaVine is because he's apparently tired of Chicago.

It certainly appears we have a defensive player of the year type of player in Isaac. We have to leverage that to get scoring. JI is so good at defense he can cover for a guard who isn't, allowing us to go all in on an offense only minded player. Ideally, you find a star who can do both, but I think in our case, we take what we can get and go for a volume scorer balanced on then other end by a DPOY.

If we could somehow trade bamba+15\16 for levine, god where do i sign up. Not that im the biggest Lavine fan or anything, but hes exactly what this team needs. An alpha attitude player who can PUT THE BALL IN THE BASKET!
He would literally be one of only 2 guys on the team you could give the ball to and tell them to get to the basket on their own, and feel confident they could do it (fultz obviously being the other). He can also shoot the 3. Again, where do i sign up

Sadly bamba+1st rounder this year wont be nearly enough, so realistically it would likely be AG for ZL. I would rather keep AG, but it seems like WeHam are deadset on trading him, and Lavine is def the best scorer we could get for him. The only other scenario would be AG for Oubre, who i also like, but if both are on the table, i think i like lavines scoring ability more than what i think oubre brings to the table

I'd like to see something worked out maybe a three-way deal where Buddy Hield comes back for Aaron Gordon.
