I voted for Bamba because he deserves the Cummerbunds for this game. His play in the second was impressive.

Because it was Evan who won a game. Literally Hawks commentary team whole 3rd and 4th quater were pointing out how they have to find a ways to slow him down. And Hawks didn't. Every key moment in that game it was Evan who delivered. Especially in 4th quater.

I didn't even mention Bamba in my comment for same reasons why i didn't mention Vuc. They dominated because Hawks have no active center on a roster. Expected outcom.

Gordon bias goes for ages. Every year he is breaking out or it's somebody else fault why he is not breaking out. It's never him. Poor guy. If it's not for mean teammates he would have been MVP by now. Where is my green font?!

I will preface my reply with a couple of things;
1. I don’t believe either Evan or Aaron will be an All Star
2. I think Evan suffers from ‘consistency bias’, hes steady most nights, Mo and Aaron not as much (Though Aaron has had a very good Feb).
3. The team is not nearly as bad as everyone here thinks and the hate for the team is astounding when theres at least a dozen teams clearly worse in the league and the Magic have played the toughest part of their schedule.

Having said that, I do think when Aaron plays well he is the X factor between this team being above or below average.

The Magic are 5-0 when he scores 25+, and Gordon averages over 4ppg more in team wins vs team losses.

That difference is a lot less for Evan and Vuc, they are steady generally night to night, but we need a good third man and when Aaron is that, the team isnt a total trash pile.

The question here is;
Is he not a consistent 3rd contributor because hes just not good, or because he isnt utilised effectively for his skillset... and that where the battling factions on the board come to blows.

I also had Fournier in this.

In addition to being Mr. smooth on offesne, he completely shut-down Huerter. He was forced to "lead" the hawks in a -10 on plus/minus. Indeed the difference between Fournier and Huerter score-line was the difference in winning and losing this game!

How dare i say 50% TS, 42,9% FG, 31% for 3 - 67% FTs, second highest payed player, third in usage , is playing bad, as he is having worst season of his career?

I did what? Said that it's meaningless competition that most people acting outraged then- didn't know who won year before ? So it's only relevant competition when you watch one of your own? No really, how many of you know who won dunk contest in 2019,2018,2017 ? I know that i don't because i don't care. Every time Gordon or Bamba or Fultz have graet game ,everybody is up in arms about them being amazing, allstars and what not.

Who cares who won before? That's so irrelevant to this conversation and you completely and intentionally miss the point so you can keep arguing without judgement. No one cares about those years because the dunk contest sucked. People still remember that AG was robbed TWICE and this time it was blatant cheating. Also, Magic fans care about certain things a little more when one of our own is there. What a concept!

Regardless, I'm not arguing about the dunk contest anymore. My point is that you sat there and judged everyone thinking we were stupid for defending our guy against cheating and said "it was irrelevant" while sitting here crying that Evan didn't get a freaking vest on an online forum were only a couple hundred Magic fans come to talk. Talk about irrelevant. What happened to AG was in front of MILLIONS and celebrities and NBA players. Much more relevant.

Gordon and Bamba’s rim protection was huge. Bamba’s best game of the year, maybe career.

I went with Fournier, although Gordon was also very good. Evan made tougher baskets, with defense really going after him. Gordon is hot from 3, but teams dont pay much attention to him (yet). Fournier also shut down Huerter, and was the only disciplined defender against Young. I agree that Gordon is x- factor, becouse he is sh*t most of the nights, while Fournier is consistently good. When you have a good night from Aaron you know your second worst starter contributed which is huge. Last few games Gordon really improved his played, lets hope Bamba will be the new x factor. Its a little embarassing for Gordon.

You can cry (I see why you guys use this word so much... feels good lol) all you want pepe, but majority that watched the game believed that AG deserved it. Sorry.
