One more incredibly sad story. Charlotte Figi, the girl who inspired the CBD movement to use cannabis as medication, just died at the age of 13. She got Covid symptoms, although not officially diagnosed yet, developed pneumonia which made her seizures come back. If you haven't heard about her before, you should read up on her. I sell Charlotte's Web in my office, and it has done amazing things for people who suffer from a variety of chronic inflammation. She was a medical refugee that needed to move to Colorado to get this very needed medication. Her seizures virtually disappeared due to CBD constructed just for her. Amazing story, RIP Charlotte.

At least Trump cut down on how many would have traveled here if he hadn't been prez, lol. :o

Here is an article I was reading where both Trump and Biden were wrong about travel restrictions. Trump said he did it very early before anyone else, and Biden said it was way late. It was actually right in the middle of both claims. Nice try though. :D

"ThinkGlobalHealth, a project of the Council on Foreign Relations, has been tracking the travel restrictions on China due to COVID-19. Its country-by-country analysis of the date and type of travel restrictions shows that in the days after the World Health Organization on Jan. 30 declared the coronavirus outbreak a public health emergency of international concern, 36 countries imposed travel restrictions, including the U.S., by Feb. 2."
https://www.factcheck.org/2020/04/trump-biden-spin-china-travel-restrictions/

I really doubt that as a most politicians trashed Trump for that Travel Ban.

It don't matter because our problems are an entire government problem instead of a single person issue. They are all corrupt, inept and self serving to me.

And it's useless to keep crapping on people who voted for him. By this point in time, I'm pretty sure they have their own feelings about that vote. You don't need to call anyone kid on here. Plus he's gotta be at least 30 years old.

This thread has me embarrassed being a Magic fan who has visited this site every single day since 2004. Mostly from a select few posters that like to hear themself speak.
And again as a precursor I voted for Obama twice and for Trump. Party affiliation means zero to me, so it’s nothing political or ideological. Just dumb ignorance from posters that I respected, including a former mod, who might be the worst of all.

You can’t admit to voting for Trump and try to take the moral high ground in the same post. No such world exists kid.

It's not always easy to disagree with one another without making it personal, but we should at least try. Let's focus on questioning each other's writings and not their motivations or intellect. No backseat modding here, just a concerned citizen officer. :D

I’m clearly not happy with the state of things, but that is different from being outright “anti-American” and I surely don’t care about the opinions of anyone is. If you’re outright against this country then why bother?

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and are free to voice them, but the moment anyone starts to make this personal, we're going to shut this thread down again. I understand that it's hard to avoid the topic of politics with regard to COVID19, but we expect everyone to treat each other with respect.

As bad as Trump has been with his mouth, if he never uttered a word, his policies haven't been that bad. And, I would take that over anyone the Left has thrown out there since Obama left as Obama was the only decent left winger I have seen from Democrats in a long time.

As far as Covid-19, I don't think any political candidate out there would have done any better of a job. Because, with the crazy Beaucracy we have here with the horrid infrastructure and loopholes to get anything done, nobody could have really made any more of a significanf impact on what has happened.

I think a large problem is that you have to be insanely rich to run for office. You have to be nearly narcisistic to run for POTUS. When you only have 2 options to run a country of 330 million people its hard to throw everyone in one camp or the other. I am jealous of Europe's party system. It requires coalitions and compromise. It also doesn't help that only 30% or so of us vote. Our system seems somewhat broke. Or it's sick and Mr. Trump is the symptom. He's not the cause.

It is weird how a Yankee born billionaire is all the rednecks favorite person in the world though! I saw someone driving in Mt Dora yesterday with a massive "MAGA" flag flying from his ford ranger. Doesn't seem like a good time to throw a victory parade for the guy lol.

To the intellectual elitist vibe I'm getting from some in here, it just wasn't that simple in 2016. Hillary was running an identity politics campaign. 18 year olds were crying and toppling Confederate statues because their feelings were hurt. An Islamic terrorist had killed a bunch of our fellow Orlandonians and Hillary was afraid to speak up about it. It was not so cut and dry as you make it seem. There is nuance in the world. Hindsight is 20/20 and he has been a Trainwreck of a president, but if Hillary was such a great candidate she wouldn't have lost the election. Now we just have to pray to whatever God we all believe in that Joe doesn't screw this up.

His economic policies seemed to benefit the markets. But his foreign policy has been horrible. He abandoned the Kurds, gave Russia our bases, buddied up to Erdogan and MBS of Saudi Arabia. He let Turkish bodyguards beat up American citizens in Washington DC. He missed an opportunity to help the Venezuelans. He had that whole failed bromance with the NK dictator.I'm anti war largely and happy he didn't escalate in the middle east(other than ordering the assassination of a sovreign countries General) but how would anyone describe the "Trump doctrine" other than an abstract disaster.

Malarky! If he just doesn't gaff himself to oblivion I don't see any way Trump wins re-election. He has just alienated too many sub groups in our society. He's done his best to lose the navy vote with backing a war criminal and firing a beloved captain to his crew. Then send the guy he appointed to replace the guy who quit over the war criminal thing to talk dirt to the crew and then tender his resignation upon return to the states, all while denying he knows said man.

Please don't screw this up Joe lol.

Somedays, Joe Doesn't even remember what day it is. Should be a landslide for Donald unless he continues to mess this up.

As far as Covid-19, I don't think any political candidate out there would have done any better of a job. Because, with the crazy Beaucracy we have here with the horrid infrastructure and loopholes to get anything done, nobody could have really made any more of a significanf impact on what has happened.

I think his team will run on the premise like Hillary, Joe is the type of guy who flip flops faster than a fish out of water. Says one thing one day, then jumps ship to the other side the next. Joe has just as many gaffes if not more in his arsenal to attack. This should be one of the most entertaining prez races in our lifetime!
