Not to blow it up. Cause tanking won't work anymore. But I don't like the status quo and I hope the FO is more aggressive.

The fanbase needs some excitement

Am I happy with the season? Absolutely not. I honestly saw this as a 46/47 win team going in. That full roster got off to a slow start but was only available a few weeks. So in the end I just blame circumstance for what happened. I do think this team could potentially win 50 games with tweaks and natural improvements from the young guys. In spite of everything though, for a less than prime Magic team with No Issac and no Gordon to get a win off a Bucks squad ready for a title run does give me a sense of progress for the Magic program. I think a healthy Magic team could have took them to 6 or even 7 games.

How do you see 50 wins with this god awful team? A team that can barely score and lack stars, lol. How do you see a game 6 or 7 against the bucks, the best team record wise, when the magic won only 6 games against teams with a winning record all year even with a healthy Issac and AG. You blame their record on a slow start when their record has been pretty similar to seasons past. I don't think you realize how dire this magic situation is.

Hmm. Rainwater, clearly you missed the word tweaks in my post. I never said this team in its current form could win 50 games. So, let me explain. Wings...both starting need replacing. Fournier needs to go, and Ennis could be effective as a reserve. You throw a talented 2 guard with some athleticism and a willingness to play defense and you’d see this team start heading in the right direction. See above on the 3 spot. If you want to have a discussion on how this team can improve I’m game, but how about a mature approach next time.

I’m not personally pleased with the outcome of the season but there is so much middle ground between the poll options I didn’t choose any of them.

It's an underwhelming finish to an underwhelming start. Doesn't feel like there's much to hang your pride or hopes on moving forwards.

This team has me questioning if I still love basketball. I can't tell if it's because I've outgrown it or if it's because I'm just so over this team.

This team is a joke. Ive literally lost interest in this team because i see no reason to invest in them. They have sucked all the fun out of the sport for me. I hate every part of the organisation, top to bottom. Is that clear enough for you?

I feel the same way, and Ive concluded that its also a lot to do with the current state of the NBA. This league has sold itself out to tv ratings, which are a hollow reflection of what makes basketball special. We have lost the competitive integrity of this league by giving offensive players all the rights and defenders no real reason to play proper defense. The end result is this hideous form of basketball we currently have with way too many threes and nobody even trying to defend. I mean, why would you waste the energy trying to be a defender when the rules are stacked against you if you try to do so. Whoever the idiot was who thought more points = more fun should be taken out back and shot.

This league needed to do what was required to preserve the integrity of the sport, which was to make it a fair game for both offensive players and defenders, but they didnt do this and now here we are, with a game which is drastically out of balance, which is why we have seen these viruses of teams like the Rockets and their many spinoffs. Its not basketball. The rules need to change to return this to something more resemblant of basketball. Giving more rights to defenders to stop these teams shooting 50 threes a game is probably a good place to start. I mean, ffs, we have highly talented BASKETBALL players who are forgetting everything they know about the sport and just retraining to shoot corner threes because thats all this league wants from them now. Its not entertainment. Watching two turnstiles of teams put up 150 pts on each other is not fun to watch. The best moments in basketball are not the highest scoring games, they are the moments where teams showed passion, competitive spirit, were gutty and did what it took to win, and thats what the league has ruled out of the game.

Embarassing.

I've been in the same boat. Particularly over the last year or so. I've watched 75 plus games a season of this team over the last 8 years and I think it's just broken me. I'm just apathetic when it comes to this team now. Maybe I'm burned out, but part of me knows if we were fielding consistent contenders or even just had a player like T-Mac to follow that I wouldn't be feeling this way.

I'm just looking at the prospects of this team next year knowing that Isaac won't be playing and knowing that the biggest roster change we are likely to make is moving AG for a middle of the road guard or SF and I'm wondering if I'm going to put myself through the same type of season again or if I will sit next year out.

I know that I still love basketball, but I also know that I don't love the product that has been on the floor these last 3 years in particular. I could find enjoyment still when Isaac was out there changing the game defensively and growing as a player offensively, but I haven't been able to find that enjoyment when he's not.

I think I'll see how the draft plays out and if we make any major moves before deciding, but I'm leaning towards just walking away for a while at this point.

I didn't mean to be disrespectful, I apologise.

A 2 guard with some athleticism and a willingness to play defense is not a minor tweak. What you are asking for is an all stars. Who you giving up for that because the magic have no money.

I've turned away from this team and I didn't watch one game of them in the playoffs, especially after Isaac went down. Pretty much checked out, and 2020 hasn't help either. For those hanging on stay strong, I just can't with this team anymore. Always will be a lifer Magic fan, but my interest has been officially drained.

This page is pretty funny.

No picks for Magic incoming or outgoing and being the only team that hasn't tried accrue picks or package picks for a star sums up the Magic to a T. We're probably running it back with the same group with the same outcome all with the excuse of "people watch playoff games". Hooray.

I voted blow up, and I get where the anger comes from. Dwight left in 2012 and real life bro... A lot of things have changed in our private lives during the last 8 years. Crazy how fast life is flying by, but how slow the Magic's recovery has been.

What's keeping me hanging on by a thread??? Well, as frustrated as I am with the longevity of Henny's guys still ruling this roster, I have been able to find enjoyment and hope out of the new players that WeHam has added to our roster. I've legitimately been a fan of their collection of young players. I'm just having a hard time waiting for their slow ascension. Injuries have been a real factor, but playing time has been as well.

5 Things that give me hope:

1) Markelle Futlz - The progression of Markelle this year brought me complete satisfaction. He took a tremendous step forward and I almost thought he had a chance at Most Improved Player. His career is back on an upward trend and that has me thrilled.

2) Jonathan Isaac - His injuries are heart breaking. But I can't give up on him. ACL injuries are no longer career threatening. Each person is their own case. His game is based more on length than explosion, so we can find some solace in that. 2021 will try our patience.

3) Mo Bamba - Big fan of his weight gain. Shows commitment. He'll need to get his feet under him and improve his conditioning, but if that's the biggest thing holding him back, then I'm a happy camper. I wish we could move on from Vuc, but I don't see WeHam doing that until Bamba starts to prove more. He's still the future starting Center of the future Magic team that I envision as a legit contender once again.

4) Chuma Okeke - Super excited to get our first look at Chuma in 2021. If his game translates, this guy could be our ultimate glue guy. Consistency from 3 has been our problem. Chuma has the ability to flip that when he's on the floor. He can be "Tobias Harris with Defense".

5) Our pick at 15 - Adding the right guy can go a long ways to sustaining a baseline of hope. This isn't a top heavy draft, but there the talent should last at least until 15 before it "flattens out". lol

Everything else about this team frustrates me and can go suck a duck... although three is a little soft spot for AG.

I clicked blow it up, but that’s a very dangerous phrase in an era with these lottery odds and weakening drafts (on average). Blow it up might mean more like one big trade, one big expiring actually expiring (unless they would take a value discount for long term security), and for me, maybe that big trade adds a lotto pick in a different, future draft. Something to make our RealGM picks page less empty, with a growing warchest, a young and improving 7th seed team, and growing FA pull.

I’ve been saying how poorly constructed this roster is for years. Every year there will be posters saying I’m crazy and that “it all takes time”. Here we are, and most of those posters are no longer here.

I could really care less who is on this team anymore. It doesn’t work. It doesn’t make sense. The players are overpaid for the results. There has been zero direction.

Hennigan’s roster is still the core. MOVE ON from them. I don’t care what empty stats they’ve managed to put up (or haven’t) on a lacking roster with few options. None of that matters if there are few assets of value, limited future prospects, and an overpriced roster.

The FO needs to do their **** jobs and build a roster themselves.
