Philly sends out Harris + Green as bulk salary, Mike Scott as filler, and Milton + Maxey + Thybulle as the youth prize.

Toronto and Orlando fight over dispersion of those pieces.

Orlando probably takes Harris for competitive security sake, and then also get Maxey/Thybulle. I’d hope the Magic could push for Milton instead, as compensation for taking Harris’ contract, but he’s the main #2 value piece.

Raps then get Green + Milton + Thybulle/Maxey + Scott.

Vuc/Bamba
Isaac/Chuma
Harris/Ross
(21FRP)/Maxey
Fultz/Cole

WeHam probably love the idea of being poised for a quick bounce back season into the playoffs with Vuc/Harris at the helm on offense. Harris is overpaid but that’s the best we can hope for right now.

Here is a better iteration.

ORL
in: Harris + Maxey/Thybulle
out: Gordon + Fournier

PHI
in: Lowry + Gordon + Powell
out: Harris + Green + Milton + Maxey + Thybulle + Scott

TOR
in: Milton + Maxey/Thybulle + Fournier + Green + Scott
out: Lowry + Powell

Magic consolidate the cost of Gordon + Fournier into Harris and a rookie scale contract player.

Toronto might want to partner Siakam + Harris to see how good they can be. In which case we'd get the Toronto package of some sort, lead by Milton.

Here’s a Knicks deal I don’t mind:

ORL: Robinson + Knox + Ntilikina + NYK 21FRP + DAL 21FRP

NYK: Gordon + Bamba

Swaps one young C for another. Gets us more picks which could be used in a trade up, or even end up in the lottery.

What woudl that trade look like?

Gordon for 2 FRP and say langford?
Where is the salary coming from?
The only guys they have making big money are Tatum\Brown\Kemba\Smart, none of which would be included with 2 1st for gordon

So how would this work?

Don't they have a TPE?

the article says we'd give up ag, even, get smart and two frists and they have that huge Hayward TE they'd be using to eat the rest. I'm assuming they'd have to throw in Nesmith and/o Langford

If we could get Smart, it would be:

Smart/filler for Fournier
TPE/2 picks for AG

Picks from the Cs aren’t very exciting given they’ll likely jump into a 20-25th pick position after this move. Though maybe they implode?

Seems there are better fringe teams that could net us better pick potential.

Smart is a very nice piece to have back. Great team guy. Our defense with him, Isaac, Chuma and MCW would be unstoppable if all get to play together.

I like this trade a lot. Marcus Smart has 1 more year left on his contract after this season. But we will have his bird right.

The TPE is nice too. And we can package the 2 FRP and TPE for some other asset in the future

Still, first-round picks though. Valuable to be used by the magic or included in a trade.

Those picks will likely suck, so I would need Langford back too. But that would be a solid return.

That sounds great and all but I can almost guarantee that, with the clowns we have running the show, Kemba will be reuniting with Clifford 'as we push towards the finals' :banghead:

I'm happy to take Kemba if it means 4 picks and 3 pick swaps.

Danny Ainge isn't giving all that up and we both know it. That guy doesn't make trades unless he feels like he killed the other team.

Cmon guys.. you know the drill when it comes to Danny. It wont happen.

And when AG is in min, den, por wherever and flourishing, there is gonna be an interview/article where he ALMOST got AG but our FO wouldnt accept a top 55 protection.. we were too greedy lol

Agreed. The picks SHOULD suck but maybe they're decent with some luck.

If we can get Smart AND a young wing.... . They have to include a small salary player to avoid tax. Hopefully it is Langford.

The thing about Smart is he's a culture changer by himself. His heart and leadership will be worth the price tag when time to re-up his contract.
