Polls: 1) Will Gordon play SF or PF? 2) Will Aminu or Ennis start?

For me there are only two (interrelated) questions for Coach Clifford to ask in the training camp
1) 1) Will Gordon play SF or PF?
and
2) Will Aminu or Ennis start?
I place both questions in one poll. There are two answers required, but please do not add conflicting answers (i.e. answer both Gordon questions).

I think Gordon will play PF and Okeke SF. I dont see much reason not to start Okeke outside of first few games. Ennis got 3rd string money not starter

I agree that Okeke can play SF. Not sure if he'll start tho.

Especially for game 1. If this was a full training camp and Okeke knocked the rust off during summer league, then sure he'd have a shot at starting. Hopefully by mid season he gets his shot.

How much do we know about Aminu's health? Have we heard anything definitive about him being fully recovered?

All depressing jokes aside, I don't see how Aminu/Gordon could start together for depth reasons. I don't think we'd have a backup PF if Aminu is starting, do we? Gary Clark could fill in there but he's obviously kinda small. I'd rather have Clark/Gordon as the starters and Ennis/Aminu as backup forwards if I had it my way though.

In either Cliff's interview a week, or so, before the draft, or maybe Weltman pre-draft, one of them said he's been working out and the plan to have him (and Mo) ready for camp. That's all I've heard in forever about him.

Ennis and Gordon will start at the forward spots.
I can eventually see Okeke starting at 3 though.

Why is any other scenario worth discussing at this stage? This poll is not needed.

I thought the Aaron Gordon playing SF thing was settled for a while now. Look at last year, he played 90% of his minutes at PF, 8% at SF and 2% at C. He's not a SF.

Seems like this is winning both poll votes.

I personally think Aminu will start. i) He is better than Ennis and ii) Orlando needs strong SF play and Gordon is the best player to do so, without Orlando starting Ross at SG and shifting Fournier to SF.
As to the final question: Gordon-SF and Aminu-PF is getting 1/3 of the vote, so this is obviously not "ridiculous" to consider.
For me: I am certain Coach Clifford will try out both scenarios in training camp.

And Fournier was not a SF until he was.

He played quite a bit of SF in DEN. Not sure how that's a valid comparison to Gordon - a player that the Magic tried to shoehorn into the SF position unsuccessfully.

Thanks, that's good to know about Mo too.

** BAD ** !!
Your homework for today is to read this bolded sentence back to yourself over and over again until you understand why you are being punished.

I think Cliff feel in love with Gary Clark 3 point shooting and his ability and willingness to defend 1-5 in the playoffs and will get plenty SF minutes this season

Why not?
It's good to have a discussion and while it might seem obvious, things can change.

What brings on that change?
If Gordon or Evan are traded, sure. We are not there.
If a key player suffers a long term injury, sure. We are not there.
The only room for good discussion is whether or not a young player such as Okeke should be given the chance to start at one of the forward spots and develop while Isaac is out. That however was not an option in this poll.
We know what Cliff will do. Until a trade is made or an injury occurs the starting lineup is set. The only interesting pieces to discuss are Cole and Okeke. It is what it is.

To me, Aminu signing is purely to trade Aaron Gordon or Isaac. But we know Isaac is untouchable so yeah, AG will start at the beginning of the season. But eventually with Trade Deadline and Isaac recovery, we might see something different this year or next
