IF we have to trade AG, who would you realistically target?

I think Mikal Bridges is a guy we should be VERY interested in slotting into the starting 3 spot next to JI next season. What say you?

I rather keep AG and ship out Evan. AG does a lot more of the little things (and actually plays defense).

Me too. But I said 'IF we have to'. I'm just wondering if we'll be able to hold onto him after next season.

i liked Bridges and called for him instead of Bamba. Question is, why would PHX trade him for AG?

Why would we have to? If he demanded a trade I guess? I'll think about people I would actually trade for but I think with his minute restriction and "value" being low, I don't think you would get a "good" trade.

I think we should have taken the two 1sts and Ariza from PDX over the offseason.

I don't think it's a lopsided trade but it wouldn't work financially anyway. A third team would be needed to make it all work.

Don't trade AG has been my motto for past 3 years and still is.

I'm 100% with you as long as he wants to be here. What I don't want is to lose a starting quality player for nothing next summer. If he wants to be here, there is no need to even have this discussion. He does the little things that helps win games.

AG won't be on the trade block until he demands a trade. He's playing well and seems happy here with an increased role that he wouldn't get elsewhere, and he seems to be growing into it now.

Considering Vuc and Fournier are still here, I think WeHam have set the standard that we'll be keeping guys through contracts. Fournier is up to be traded before AG, since I don't see how we can afford to bring him back in the offseason, so if he gets moved maybe Gordon does in the future too?

Both of them have to be traded.
This is not even question who you like, but what team MUST do.

Fournier is unrestricted free agent. He is as good as gone.
Gordon is exp. contract next year and- as good as gone.

In whole damn NBA only Steph Curry, Klay Thompson , Haslem and like 2 other dudes re-signed second contract with same team and stayed for 10 or more years. It might be that Steph and Haslem are actually only +10 years players with same team right now. I'm not sure.

It's literally - lose for nothing or return value for both.

Trade both and a 1st for Beal? He did have that "I'm trying, but we suck" look on his face tonight. lol

Zach Lavine, Bradley Beal, McCullum, hell given how things look, James Harden.
Lot of this "should we rebuild?" teams are off to ugly starts Wizards (0-3), Bulls (0-3).
For our buddy Skin, Oubre might be traded for beg of chips given how he plays for Warriors so add him to that list too i guess.

Keep him as our Glue guy going forward. He has his down falls but I would rather have him on our side than against us. Just hope he wants to stay long term.

And only Orlando Magic allstar who re-signed.
Also his situation was very different than Gordon's will be. He was already 28-29, got married, got baby, never got payed before. On top of that he was, as kid, moved a lot, so it's safe to assume he was sick to his stomack being moved all the time from place to place.

Gordon already got payed, is guy is from California, has no kids, has music and others non -nba related interestes such is acting, it's logical he wants to go "home", closer to Hollywood.

And Magic have no control over his decison if he becomes FA. He'll have few teams lineup to make interviews with him and he'll be as good as gone, as much as 99,9999% of pending 3rd fee agency guys are. It's pretty much only time in their career where they choose were to go on their own.

From Magic perspective, it would be foolish to tie all cap space in him, Fultz and Isaac, because that core on it's own will never lead you anywhere pass first round. So divorce is mutual interest.

I would trade Gordon for future picks and tried to resign Fournier with the money gained. Fournier is looking good as 3-4 th option and it is very hard to find replacement with his skill set. We should milk Wolves, Nets, Warriors, Rockets or Nuggets.

If AG starts hitting his 3's, he's the guy we need to get/keep. He and Isaac can't coexist if neither is a legit floor spreader. Both can defend 1-4+, AG is a good and willing passer...one of them (at least) needs to hit 36%+ for them to be a nasty combo...otherwise, AG and/or Evan for a guy who can shoot and score at the rim...If Fultz keeps up the aggressive play, a floor spreader becomes a sufficient offensive threat next to Fultz and Vuc. Hopefully, finances don't become prohibitive, we have too many guys in that 12-20m range. I don't see Evan or AG accepting a pay cut.

Bridges would be great but probably not available, Cam Johnson, NAW, CJ Warren, or level up with both + Aminu for CJ McCollum.
