I think the front office just woke up from their comatose state and realized we don't have much backcourt depth.

A guard who can’t shoot. Surprised we waited so long to snag him up.

I wonder if they're going to convert one of Bone or Mane to a regular contract or just release them.

Lol. What's the point of this signing? He doesn't move the needle at all and will not lead to more wins.
Just trade Fournier, Ross, and AG (when he gets healthy) for picks and young players. Rest Vuc as much as possible and call it a season.

Another excuse for Clifford for not playing Bamba...

Dude shot more than 40% on 3s in his last college season.
I agree. He needs to shoot better

It wouldn't be funny if it wasn't true... A PG somehow taking minutes away from a center indirectly

Shelvin Mack, Jonathan Simmons, Jerian Grant, MCW, and now Frank Mason. Keep the franchise changing moves coming WeHam!

I hope we're still not trying to win. This guy looks like an upgrade over Bone.

Frank Mason was the MVP of the G-League last year. Averaged over 25 a game.

My hope is that they wanted a slightly more experienced PG on the bench to help Mo, when he’s finally allowed minutes.

The Magic needed another point guard option.
Frank Mason will give them some scoring and help them get through the year.
It will be interesting to see which of Jordan Bone or Karim Mane' is waived. My guess is Mane'.

Magic will likely try to get whomever is cut out of Jordan Bone and Karim Mane' on G League Team.

My question to you is why do we need another point guard option? We're not going to make the playoffs and losing will happen anyway. There's no need to get someone who might win us an extra game or two just to still miss the playoffs and lose out on a higher pick.
I don't really agree that we needed to sign anybody. I think what we need to do is trade the vets that will win us games like Fournier, Gordon, Ross, potentially Vuc and starting losing more games so we can finally get a high draft pick.
If we were fully healthy, I would want to try to win every game. But we've lost two of our best players to injury for the year. Another one for 1-2 months. Most of our bench. There's no reason to win with this current roster though. I really don't want to give the 1st seed another bye week while we don't improve due to a lack of a great pick.
Edit: Or I wouldn't mind standing pat if, and only if, we rest our best players often enough that we still come out with a bottom 3 record.
