No updates that I'm aware of. Last I saw it was reported he will be out at least until All-Star game, maybe even later.
Gosh, what about the forum spirit???? The team is on a winning streak, again in the playoffs hunt...and there's the game thread and a single fellow poster asking for Cole Anthony...and me...
Sad to say it, but we as a fan base are just as a pathetic bunch of weird masochists as this cursed franchise. I feel bad for all magic fans, me included.
Let me see if I can answer this question for you...the team's winning streak consists of beating three teams with a combined record of 38-53. When it comes to watching the young talent develop, only Okeke is seeing any significant minutes. We are playing against the Detroit Pistons, not really an exciting team to watch when most of the board is apathetic towards this roster to begin with (there will probably be more activity when we play the Nets on Thursday).
I am certainly not trying to speak for everyone but I think folks are just tired of seeing Hennigan's core being the focal point again this season. I could just be reading your post wrong but aren't you one of the posters who want to tank in the first place?
Sure, I'm pro-tank even though I hate losing as hell. But nothing else left that makes sense for our team besides tanking.
In my post I tried to be a bit sarcastic and added a bit of irony. Of course, we need to tank. I am just trying to put into words how I feel, I'm just bewildered how even if we win we cannot be happy with the roster we have and when we lose we don't do it on purpose and we are going nowhere after a few meaningless wins. All this non-sense is making us the fans apathetic and disheartened as you mentioned.
I am feeling bad for the state our fan base founds itself in the last few years, given all the bad choices and no choices by the FO, all the injuries, all the missed draft picks, all of the MAGIC BASKETBALL we are forced to getting used to.
