Welcome our new skilled big WCJ
Wendell Carter is still just 21, that's how old Vuc was in his rookie year, so let's compare per 36 in Carters age 21 vs Vuc's age 22 (year 2)
Carter 16 points 11 Reb 3.1 asst 0.8 steals 1.1 blocks 58% true shooting
Vuc. 14/9/2 0.9 steals 1.1 blocks. 53% TS
Those are solid numbers for 21 year old big. That is good passing. Vuc didn't average 3 asists per 36 until he was 25,
I do think WCJ is really passive as a scorer. He is very much an unfinished project, but dude is a good shooter. He 's averaging 76% from the FT line during his 3 year career, far better than Vuc at similar ages. 36% from 3 this year, but on very low voiume.
I don't see why his ceiling can't be higher than Vuc's and we have at least 5 years of team control.

No need to start making comparisons. Lets just see how these guys play, they have every opportunity now to show what they've got.

Damn, the sarcasm is real. Lol I don't think he said anything wrong or bad at all to get that response.
But I am excited to see what WCJ can do on a team where he's expected to be one of the main guys while not trying to compete for the playoffs. I do think he's pretty talented and that some Bulls fans and Magic fans are being very harsh on him. A Bulls fan earlier today said he was straight up trash to me on the GB. I think that's very extreme to say about a 3rd year player with decent numbers and is only 21.
Can't wait to watch his first game either tomorrow, or on Sunday. Whenever it is.
God. Family. Country. Basketball.

I’m with ya. WCJ has very solid scope to become a reliable all round C. Not a lead guy, but someone who won’t do the wrong things.
Bamba is the wild card. With minutes he’ll post fat numbers on a lot of nights. Can he sustain the effort and eventually turn it into winning basketball?
Most of all, can he get out of Cliff’s doghouse?

He's not a bum and not likely to be more than a role player. Let's see what happens... but, yay... another big

I was helping you out buddy. You're about to be throttled by trying to compare the two players. Good luck though

A big that can play defense and rebound on a decent contract. What more could you ask for in a Center.

Honestly not very excited about this guy. Seems like a player for a bygone era. We need guards/SFs and perimeter scoring. Not expecting much but will stay open minded.

I just found it a bit funny since he actually plays and isn't buried like Bamba. He's not terrible at all but for the reason I didn't want him at the #6 pick, he isn't anything special. His percentages look decent but just like the rest of our youth, he can't stay healthy. In his 3 years, he has played 44, 43, and 32 games. Almost all as a starter though.

Just start Bamba with WCJ at the 4, and we're good. lol No complaints for sure.

Wait till we hear WeHam use the same quote with Fultz saying this is technically his rookie year blahblah cause of all the injuries and **** hahah
