2024.
Isaac and Fultz will be 26, our 2021 rookie will be in his third year. If we are lucky and east is still weak maybe 2023 but i wouldnt be so optimistic

If everything goes 100% right? 2022-2023.

If some things go right and some things go wrong? 2023-2024 or 2024-2025.

If nothing goes right? A long, long time.

I could see us trying again assuming we can finally stay healthy in 2 years. So 2 years of being bad and adding assets than going all-in with trades, signings, internal improvements.

2024, provided our players stay healthy and whoever we draft this year turns out to be an impact player. Failing that, might be a good long while.

2026, if were decently lucky.

2023-2024. Really just falls on avoiding the unlucky lottery odds of the past. If things fall into place we should be able to make a big jump quickly from re-entering the playoffs to contenders and possibly attract a big FA and/or trade some of the accumulated young players/picks we have for a star in return to hopefully pair with an emerging star we’ve drafted.

23/24 for the optimist.
24/25 for the realist

2030 so that we can fire Alex Martins.

No reason not to expect 22-23.
Fultz, JI and cap space will all be in their primes.
Cole, RJ, Okeke will be in their 3 years.
Top 4 rookie will be in his 2nd season.
We'll have a top 10 rookie too.

I think 22-23 / 23-24 if we get the luck of the ping pong balls this year. So much rides on not striking out in this year's draft

Im half-glass full. PLUS we don't know what will happen next season.

We have young guys ready to be let loose. We got a "Young" group of vets in JI Fultz TRoss. We got the number #1 pick in Cade plus capspace to get somewhat decent.

Im thinking we get #7 spot in the 21-22 season

It depends on the lottery. If the Magic make out of the draft with a guy who will make multiple all-star games, then maybe '22-'23 or '23-'24. Otherwise, who knows? It could be years.

I think the team moves before we make it back to the playoffs.

I'm operating on the assumption that we currently have 2 to 3 long term pieces on our roster at best. I also have little to no trust in WeHam. I'm going with 2026. Of course this prediction could be moved depending on what happens this offseason.

Tonight: when you crank up the VCR and watch Penny Hardaway in 1999. The Magic have become a good rain alternative to Disneyland. TANKING to get a good Lottery position and rebuilding every three years (Gordon, Payton, Hero, Vucevic, Harris...on and on) is not a prescription to making the playoffs.

I agree with all thre points. I think the way Weltman made these trades, and his use of the ord "rebuild" means even he cannot see a pyoff team next year.

BUT:for 2022-23, Isaac and Fultz are planned be perfectly health, Anthony and Okeke will be in year three, Bamba and Hampton will have either gotten better or shopped off. Carter will be entering his prime. And next season's rookies will be in the Sophomore seasons. Add to that a good amount of money available in the 2022 summer, I can absolutely see a playoff roster for 2022-23.

Next season for sure
