I think Birch has more value then people give him credit for. If you put him in a starting role, he can easily be a 10/10/2 player. He is mobile and plays good defense, teams value these type of players on good contracts. Tyson Chandler, Biyombo, Tristan Thompson, Cody zeller, JaVale McGee, etc

Birch is a solid player but when you are a rebuilding team and two of your prospects play the same position, it doesn’t make much sense for him to take those minutes. I’m surprised he hasn’t traded as I think he could help a team needing a backup big. Bamba & Carter should get those minutes to see what they. Carter in a new environment and Bamba finally healthy and able to see the floor at least give us a proper evaluation. I doubt we keep both of them long term anyways so let them battle it out.
