How many players do you know that actually improved their dribbling skills during their careers? He doesn't have 'it'

Every player that came into the league as a teenager, I'd say 85% at lowest improved their handle.
He gets picked because he doesn't know how to position himself and the ball, not because he can't dribble.
Not saying he is going to be a PG, but his handling of the ball will improve through this next year greatly.

I would take him in case the 3 G's are gone but only to trade back & get another asset (Or try to trade up in combination with the chi pick). Watching Wiseman go down too, those guys are just too injury phrone, next to there low value in general.
But someone gonna pick him top 3 anyway.

i'm against idea of drafting center in lottery in general.

But Magic C rotation is pure garbage.
Both Wendell and Bamba are injury prone and mediocre and soon to be restricted free agents.
Mobley is a PF.

He should improve his handles, but to me it's always strange to see 20 years old players, who play basketball for like 10-12 years already, and having no clue how to protect the ball. You would think most kids handle the ball from pure joy of it, trying to mimc Steph of Kyrie.

I think some of these players got by on so much athleticism/speed, they haven't done the little things. Kind of like shooting, "if I can get by everyone, why do I have to learn how to shoot?".

I see it in Cole too sometimes.
But, now Okeke being nearly 2-3 years older, played 72 college games, you see his poise.

It would be in my eyes. WCJ/Bamba to me are just shining examples of why you don’t take a center that high in this era. Particularly if you are passing on an elite guard to do it.

I wouldn’t even remotely consider Mobley in the top 5. I don’t value his skill set or position over the other players in that area.

I think carter can actually develop into a pretty good starting center. He’s shown me a lot more than Bamba has. He does need to string together some consistent healthy play, however.

You know me, i won't touch another C in lottery if i don't need to.
But if Green, Cade and Suggs are gone, things take really ugly turn.

Barnes, Kuminga or Mobley... Than Mobley is probably BPA pick.

I always liked Carter, even around draft in 2018. But he needs to learn how to shoot some mid range of 3. He can't shoot 15% for 3. If he can't make them, than for time being, he shouldn't shoot 3s.

Cole trying to run an offense is just painful to watch. Great for the tank, but it's just such ugly basketball. And the lack of playmaking on the courrent roster can't be good for player development.

By the way, what do you guys think of those white/blue jerseys we were wearing for this game (among others)? I think they look pretty nice in close-ups, but not as good in the standard wide shots.
